Eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway disappeared early last summer during a senior class trip to the island of Aruba. On a recent show, Dr. Phil joined the search for the missing teen and broke new ground in the case. He called for a boycott of Aruba and put his own investigators on the trail. Now, two months later, Natalee's mother feels there is a strong chance her daughter is still alive. Hear, for the first time ever, the evidence she reveals to Dr. Phil. Also, learn how effective the boycott is and why a pair of Dr. Phil's rescuers found themselves in need of a rescue.  Plus, Natalee's disappearance bears similarities to the case of another young woman who went missing in the same region. Meet the parents of Amy Bradley and see what strong evidence has them holding onto hope that their daughter is still alive.  Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

Thank you for trying to educate

Quote From: openear

US American paranoia and arrogance sickens me.  Are you planning to lock up your children at home, because teenager girls get abducted into sex slavery here in the US everyday, not to mention home many of them go missing.  Of the millions of visitors to the Caribbean each year, how many end up like Natalee Holloway and Amy Bradley?

Recently Oprah did a program on sex offenders here in the US and she gave a website that one could go to to find out the registered sex offenders in one's area.  I was horrified to see how many live around me.  Now I'm aware that the man standing behind me on the crowded subway, or walking ahead of me on the street could very well be a convicted rapist, child molester or other sex offender.  So maybe I need to leave the U.S.A. and call for a boycott of New York, or a boycott of the USA!

What you need to do is pray, teach your children responsible behavior, and go enjoy your trip.  Your daughter's probably more at risk of abduction right here than in the Caribbean.

I wish Dr Phil had done/or will do an accurate show on the sex trade industry.

The Natalee story immobolizes people because of it's emotional impact, but Americans need the true facts about the sex trade industry and how it exists in their own country, and how it is supported in other countries by their own countrymen.

How many of these Dr Phil viewers would merely turn a blind eye on this problem if it didn't involve an American child.  How many are willing to stand up and stop the same behaviour that is happening in their own country.  Don't turn a blind eye on your own inability to stop this behaviour from happening on US soil.

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

Quote From: steph25

God Bless men like Jamie & Ty that save babies. They are real life angels,  without men like them their would be little hope. I encourge people to support & donate what you can because it could happen to any of our familys.  My prayers go out to all familys with missing children, I can't image the hell you go through every day.
I was moved to tears while watching today's show.  Ty & Jamie are truly inspirational human beings & do much to assure me that Good really can win over the evil we see in this world.  I am so proud that my confidence in the goodness of Dr Phil is once again proven correct!  My thoughts & prayers are with Natalee & Amy's familiesas well as others in similar circumstances.  With wonderful human beings like Dr Phil & his staff as well as Ty & Jamie and so many other loving & concerned professionals,  I feel like these & other innocent young women ( & men) have a much better chance for a positive outcome.

Boycott Aruba

I just want to give my support to Dr. Phil and the parents of the girls that were kidnapped in Aruba.

Two months ago after seeing the first show, when Dr. P asked us to Boycott Aruba I got on line with my travel agent and changed my panama canal cruise to another one that did not include a stop in Aruba. After seeing todays show I was glad that I had also changed cruise lines because after hearing how Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) treated the family of the girl that was taken from their ship I was appalled. How could they let people onto their ship that are of such questionable character?!  And to flippantly say she could have gone overboard as if that were nothing is unreal.

Our children are grown now but we took them on cruises with us when they were young. It was common practice to let them go off with the cruise directors to do their own activities during the day.   However when we visited other countries (or anywhere) on our own, with the kids, we never let them go off by themselves until they were adults, but even then they always choose to participate in the activities we have planned for the day. I would be scared to death to let them go it alone now.

Thank you Dr. Phil for opening up our eyes.

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

Quote From: natia77

this REALLY MAKES FOR A NICE STORY, EVEN A MAKE FOR TV MOVIE.

IN REGARDS TO YOUNG WOMEN BEING FORCED INTO THE SEX TRADE AND SOLD AS SLAVES HERE IN ARUBA IS COMPLETELY LUDICROUS.  There are so many beautiful Latin American ladies and young girls that would do anything to get off the streets from mostly Colombia and get the Visa necessary to work as a legal prostitute here on the island for 3 months.  In the ABC islands and the rest of the Dutch Kingdom and Holland, and quite a few states in the US this is legal.  Here on the island the rules are a little more strict than mainland Holland, but you need to pass all the necessary exams and if selected for a Visa and this 3 months permit you are only permitted to work in a specific Red District Bar which all of them are at one end of the island by the ex Exxon Refinery, now a Valera one, .  These ladies are checked every week by the doctors and need to leave the island in 3 mo. when their permits expire.

Now to say that Nathalee was abducted in Aruba and be sold into sex trade is not true.   It is my personal believe that the Dutch boy and the tree Surinamese brothers are responsible for her being missing.  But in any case the sex trade is very much regulated and very  sought after by LA girls mostly Colombians and Venezuelans,    .  Now if you open any yellow pages in the US you will see many massage parlors with drug addicts prostituting and spreading VD's UN regulated.

That is why I say the comment by Mr. Sherlock 007 here will make for a good story, which he will find right in his back yard.

Dr. Phil please be objective in your pursuit of  Nathalee and or ratings.  I hope, and everyone in Aruba wants this case to be solved.  You do not need to destroy a whole island nation doing that.

It is not fair for anyone involved or not.

ignorant much?

i'm sure your heartfelt sadness means a lot to the families.

perhaps, with your extensive knowledge of the goings on in Aruba, you should check some of the underground hot spots and see if they have a heart for sale, you could use one.

Boycott necessary?

First my heart goes out to Natalee' s family.  I do hope she will be found.  But I do not  agree with boycott.  There are many people disappearing around the world.  But do people boycott no..
Aruba lives on tourist. so cutting that off means more violence.  I do not think everyone is bad in Aruba.but by boycotting it means the whole country is bad. Is that the message I am suppose to get? First of all  boycott is not going to help to find Natalee.  I do not believe who ever hurt Natalee took will return her instead will that not  increase the risk for her to be killed? if  of course if she is still alive.

i will pray for both families to find their daughters and I hope that someone in Aruba will help us to find them and return them safely.

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

 A couple things....

Psychics. At least one psychic has claimed that the person who has Natalee -- whether it be there the one who has murdered her, or they're the one that truly knows what has happened to Natalee -- is someone that we would not think of as a suspect.

Now, personally, I'm interested in Jossy Mansur. Why, you ask?

1- Jossy was very, very quick to place blame on the Van Der Sloots and the Kalpoe brothers. Even before much of the evidence was revealed.
2- Many members of the Mansur family maintain their Venezuelan passports.
3- The entire Mansur family has maintained consistent economic activity (namely money laundering and drug trafficking) in many South American cities. Including Venezuela.
4- The Mansur family owns and operates a series of boats that frequently travel between Aruba and Venezuela.
5- Coinciding with number one; His job. As a news editor, it's very easy to choose what information to publish and how to publish it. That's a great advantage.
6- His involvement, and almost unusual attachment , to this case is rather unsettling when considering the above information.
7- He and his family are notorious for money laundering. For a refresher, the definition of money laundering:
n: concealing the source of illegally gotten money.

....sex-slave trade anyone?

This is just personal speculation. What I've posted has been concluded from research gained by reading articles upon aticles upon articles. I in no way hold responsibility to these "facts" as they were not gained personally.

Am I the only one?

Am I the only one that heard the investigator's horrific account of the girl they found dead? I absolutely can not wrap my mind around that. I am not an emotional person but I have cried many times today over her. For those of you who missed this story...in one of the "raids' to find Natalee, the investigators rescued two children. Horribly, they found a girl who had been murdered. They went on to find the video tape of her death. She had been bound, penatrated and had a nail or spike stratigicly stuck in her head. The monster used the convulsions she had while dying to rape her. How do "people" even come up with something so terrible? I can only deduct that since it was video taped, that there must be some one who would buy it. As a mom,I cannot fathom such a heart wrenching tragedy. I can only wonder if this girl was ever identified, if after the estimated 10 years she was held and tortured by these people, did her parents have to go through that? I'm sorry...I'm rambling . I just can't  find closure with this.

Aruba is no loss

Quote From: eagle14

U should take your family 2 Aruba. U talk of a bus hitting u, well u have a better chance hitting the lottery & then walking in the street &getting hit by that bus then your family being hurt in Aruba. I'm sure alot of people posting things on here have never been 2 Aruba. Be a man, don't let the opions of some ruin a trip u will rember 4 ever. Just be a parent & use good jugement. Any where u go will not be as safe as Aruba is.

Actually I have traveled all over the world and Aruba is no Paradise. It is plain and even boring, unless you are into a wild nightlife (which we are not). But you can get an exciting nightlife anywhere. Aruba got its place on the Caribbean Island map because of its proximity to Venezuela (which is one of the biggest American hating countries south of the Rio Grand right now), and its mixture of Latin and island culture. But my experience is that the Arubans don't like Americans any more than their Venezuelan neighbors. I want to spend my money in places where I can feel respected and comfortable such as the South Pacific or Italy. Italians have their biases but they have an overwhelming pride in their country and culture that they love to show the world; so they treat tourists like potential converts. It's great!

Karen - hate my comments if you must, but they are no less truthful.

Quote From: kairshea

Are you kidding me?

How heartless.  You think they should just leave the other girls because they are not American.  That is absolutely unhuman.  They should try to save any girl they find under these conditions.  Do you not think those girls pictured in that brothel were not someone's child/sister/friend.  No wonder the world is where it is at when people only care about someone of their own nationality.

Why in this case are we separating human against human?

Ty and his men have been doing this for over 30 years. Don't you think he knows what he's doing? They went specifically with information on Natalie. Would'nt you agree that a lot of planning went into their trip? Not only for the safety of the young girl, but for themselves? Changing plans at the last moment to rescue other girls could put the men in danger. They have families I'm sure that they would like to come home to. Didn't you hear that he has brought back 30 or so children?  I find it disgraceful that you would assume the only children that are being rescued are white. What does your husband, father, brother do for a living? Perhaps you should be thankful that there are people out there that risk there lives for complete stangers.
