Quote From: angel4denHey, I am in McLouth which is 22 miles North of you! i would like a buddy to help me to lose. I am very obese (*365) 34 year old who loves life more than food now! I have almost died twice last year, I am ready to defeat this demon but need all the help and support I can get. I am planning on joining Weight Watchers in Tongie next week. If interested in chatting, drop me a line!
Hi,
Sorry my response took so long! I had a bit of a problem re-finding this message board. I hope your time with Weight Watchers proves successful for you. I've known several people who have lost a lot of weight with the support of this program. I go to a gym here in Lawrence, and I'm trying to get back to my old habits of eating healthy and exercising more. I'm 28 years old, 5'5", 230 pounds. My husband is the opposite, 6'3", 155 lbs! I'd like to get down to at least 160. I lost 80 pounds back in 1996, right before going to college. I used a super low-fat diet, no snacking, Richard Simmons' videos, and fast walking to do that. Now, I don't watch my diet as much and fast-food options are always nearby in this town. I gained back most of my weight, although I have a lot more muscle now, which makes my clothes about 3 sizes smaller than in early 1996. I started back at the gym in June 05, but it does no good if I can't stop cheating on my diet. Other than losing 70+ pounds, I also want to be able to job at least 4 miles without dying by the end of this year. Running is pretty painful with my big rear jiggling! I wish you the best of luck as you begin this process. I remember a wall-hanging that my great-grandmother had at her house. It said :"Today is the first day of the rest of your life." Pretty obvious statement, but I want to make today a good start, rather than slacking off like I have been. Here's to proving everyone wrong and laughing in the face of those who doubt us!!! Take care!
