thank you dr.phil and robin for being able to share the joy of the holidays and giving all those boys anf girls, and adults a day of prue joy, love and able to forget what they have all been through. you and your staff and those that donated and partcipated will be and are already blessed. i know that if it would have been me and my family that lost everything i would have loved having people as your selves to put smiles and joy on peoples faces and hearts. robin you set up a heck of a party. can you do my big 50 for me ?   i am not as big as ya'll but i do have a small non-profit and we were able to help out a family this year. and thank god that funds were available. thank you again for sharing .

12/15 Dr. Phil and Robin's Holiday Extravaganza, Part 2

I saw bits and pieces of several of  the shows this week, and while in the past I havn't always agreed with your advice in every situation I think the things you did for people this week are admirable.  It was so kind of you and your wife to spend so much time planning and making thigs special for these victims and the special people that opened up their  homes to them.  I think you gave these people the most precious gift of all; the feeling that even in this busy, cynical, and violent world there are people who really do care.

On your show you mentioned you HATE shopping, but you were willing to make that small sacrifice for people who really needed it.  I imagine this event took many months of careful planning, and I know a lot of people must have worked very hard to pull everything together.

One of my especially favorite things about this week's shows was the show earlier in the week where you had some kids that needed a little perspective about the meaning of Christmas and being a giving person in general.  I think it was great that you had them help out with the Holiday Party so that they could get the feeling of giving something that was TRULY appreciated. Few things are more satisfying than seeing people appreciate your energy and work.  It was also a good lesson that the gift of your time can mean more than anything material.

No one can help everyone, but your show helped a good number of people this week.  After all the these people have suffered and sacrificed it was great to see them be able to relax and enjoy themselves.  With all the other crap that is on daytime television it was refreshing to see joy and happiness....REAL joy and happiness.  Perhaps that's why I watch the show when I've nothing else to do, it's because regardless of whether I agree or disagree I belive that you are legitimately trying to help with with their problems, not make a spectacle of them. There are a few other shows out there that seek to help people, and I think ALL talkshows should be like that.

It is important that this time of year we remember why we celebrate Christmas.  Christmas embodies the longing for hope, love, and peace.  We should always remember that these gifts are the most precious things we can give.

Have a Happy Christmas, one and all.

Christmas give away

I would just like to say that I admire all that you are doing for everyone this holiday season.  I am a military wife and have traveled to several places and lived in several states and Germany.  We have struggled and we have conquered!!

I admire everything that you do.  You have spent time with victims of Hurricane Katrina, donated to them and become personally involved with these families.  I admire you  for taking an interest in so many families that have nothing.  Losing everything you own can be very traumatic and it is hard to recover from this.  I pray for these people everyday and hope they will all recover and put this tradegy behind them. They have had a horrible thing happen to them but know have to work hard to make a life again for their families and themselves.

I think you are awesome and I respect Robin and you for everything you do.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Hoilday Extravaganza

Dear Dr. Phil & Robin,

I wasn't going to watch the show yesterday because I, knew it would make me cry.  You both have such big hearts.

When you gave that little boy a new alagator panio,  I broke into tears.  By him just wanting that shows how much he loved that toy.

You gave those familys time off, to forget thier problems.

God Bless you both.

Lost

I would love santa to help me out. I lost everything from divorces. I am in transition of rebuilding my life. I have little to nothing but personal things clothes, pots and pans. I am living hand to mouth with help from my former ex husband.....not my present ex husband to be.I am embarassed to ask for anything but I would appreciate anything santa feels he can provide.

Alligator Piano

I watched the show and it was awesome!  I cried right along with the families.  I am curious where to locate one of the aligator pianos that you gave the the young child on the show.

Holiday Extravaganza

Dr. Phil& Robin; you two are probably the most giving people I've ever seen.! I was homeless(in a wheelchair, no less!), and I found that for all the bad, there's always lots more good; sometimes it just takes a little searching. P.S.:Dr. Phil, you really ARE a gentle giant! ;-)
