Do you believe that walking under a ladder or someone giving you the "evil eye" can give you bad luck? Dr. Phil's guests say that curses and evil spirits are wreaking havoc in their lives. Sarah is convinced that she's hexed. For the last five years, she has been plagued with what she calls the "Tuesday Curse." Watch what happens when Dr. Phil's producers follow her around on her "unlucky" day. Then, George is convinced he is reaping the negative effects of a curse put on his family years ago in Mexico. He has even put his wedding plans on hold because he fears the curse will cause him to divorce! Plus, David worries that his wife, Holly, may be possessed because she has had the same nightmare for the past seven years, and she has been talking in a man’s voice, speaking in a foreign tongue and barking like a dog. What's behind her fearsome dreams? And, a woman claims an exorcism, performed by her father 26 years ago, put demons inside of her.  Share your thoughts.

Saved?

Quote From: countrycow

i  am not  enteraining  anyone.  i  am only telling the truth.  witness too people  about jesus..   its too help  the people that are lost too  get to know jesus and  hopefully  get saved one day..   i care for others and  i am  a true christian that wants too share jesus with others..
I'm sure you do care for others and I'm sure you tell people about Jesus whenever you can.  Sometimes people do not want to hear about it.  For example, would you wanting me telling you why you should be one with the Goddess and that you need to put her in your heart or else in the end you will get punished?  It isn't very respectful.  I respect you and your feelings, so why can't you do the same for others?  Do you honestly think that I need to get saved?  You don't even know me.  I'm sure that does not qualify you enough to tell me or others that we need to be saved.  The only reason you would think so is beacuse I do not worship your God.  I care for others too and with that said I would not threaten them to believe something.  I'm not sure how many people you know, or even how many people you interact with, but we are all not bad.  Sure, there are some bad apples, but I do not consider myself one of them.  I consider myself blessed, perhaps not the same way you would deifne it, but I think I have a good life with a great family a great husband and great kids and live in a beautiful part of the country.  All of that, and without Jesus.  It is possible.

01/05 "Am I Cursed?"

Quote From: elffie

I wanted to thank you in your help to show countrycow as well as other that not everyone who doesn't have Jesus in their lives are bad or evil and need to be saved.  I don't know if you have read any of my earlier postings, but I tried to tell people the same thing and had no luck.  It is always nice hearing from someone who actually has facts, I like the graph :).  Are you Christain?  If you are you are of the better ones that I have met.  True, Christianity was not the first religion, but now seems to be prominent today, it was not the first and not the only religion.  So there is proof that people lived a different way before Christianity, so that makes my point that there is not only one way to live.  I am not Christian, but would consider myself religous.  If only everyone would be accepting of others.

I am sad that the graph cut off some of the stats!!!  :(..

Holy rollers get me down.  They are the most intolerant people I have ever met.  It is there way or no way and that concerns me.  They claim to be so wonderful but deep down inside, they have issues.

I used to be a Catholic but I left the church a while ago.  When I was in high school, the bishop came in during the bishop’s annual appeal and told us we had to give such and such amount to the church.  I found that to be a little rude and presumptuous considering there were so many catholic schools shutting down due to lack of funding.  When I was leaving school that day, I saw the bishop and my principal (who was a priest) leaving in very very very nice cars while the nuns packed in a crappy old station wagon!  I found out the next day that the nuns had to give their salaries to the church and get only what they need while the priests kept what they got!  Made me a little jaded.

When my best friend got married, my daughter was the flower girl all but 4 years old.  She ran up to the altar during the ceremony to tell her godmother how pretty she looked and the priest scolded her in front of the entire list of guests.  This also left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Through the years I have learned how corrupt the church is and realized that I don't need a church or a man with a white collar to tell me how I should behave as a human being or to take my money to make the Vatican a little bit richer!  Then I saw a pic of the pope with Hitler, which closed the coffin on that one.

I can't say that I am God fearing but I am a moral human being and just want everyone who deserves it to be happy.  I am so tired of these people telling me that I need to believe in Jesus.  I am so tired of these people going to other countries peddling their nonsense, I say let them be!

These days, I am more scientific in my approach to things.  I don't believe in ID, I really don't believe in ID!!!!!  I think that if there were a deity, there would be less pain in the world.  What kind of God would create just to let us hurt?  It is a quandary that I struggle with, I mean I have spent 18 years of my life devout and then to actually start thinking about things and asking questions, it was a painful transition.  Am I just some kind of science project like and ant in an ant farm?  I sure hope not!  I ain't laughing!!!!  But I guess that is why they call it faith; you sort of have to have it don't you.

I have seen so much pain and frankly I am tired of people telling me that it is God testing you.  What???  What do you mean???  Have I not been tested enough?  I mean really!!!!

I am thrilled to come across another human being that feels the same, thank you.  If we could all just get past the fact that we aren't all the same and have different views, the world would be a better place!  Isn't that the Christian thing to do????  LOL

Sorry for the ramble!!!  :)

01/05 "Am I Cursed?"

Quote From: implode1

momisme2, you sound like a very caring and sweet individual. Great sympathy I have for you. As implode1, I can say the greater part of the Church is a TERROR MACHINE. It is a moneymaking corporate enterprise. The technique for raking in money, time-tested and true, is to generate TERROR. This is how it's been from day one. momisme2, I invite you to share with us your personal philosophy or current spiritual focus in light of your background, and the work you do. We don't need a full bio, just some words on how life is.

It sounds like you and justweird got the fear treatment served up to you on a plate, and maybe more. I can personally confirm this through direct experience after having gone to several different churches before to "experiment", and got the same thing--a lingering and disturbing sense of unease that comes as reliably as white on rice.

A buddy called Chuck I lived with had gone to Catholic school as a youth. After obtaining the same treatment, he lost all spirituality and has never believed in anything except UFOs.

To dlynn pa, don't fall into the mental trap of tabulating all the bad stuff that happens. You will begin to see it everywhere. I'm not posting because I have any issues with luck--I was in tearful shock over Sharon's distress. That was like watching a soul being murdered. Again, if anyone can reach her, give her my origional embedded message and my contact forceit_229@yahoo.com PLEASE. I have to help her. dlynn pa, I can't tell what's happening with you, but listen to this. implode1 has grown up with severe depression and anxiety. My dad treated me badly, did drugs, played pornography (and with himself) in the house, got divorced, arrested and thrown in jail, and has been homeless for 5 years. I was abused at school. Drug dealers and prostitution drove me out of a once fine neighborhood. A house adjascent to mine BLEW TO BITS, sending its occupant into grave condition. Someone set my house on fire TWICE in 3 months, one of them on Christmas Day. One fire nearly killed my family--an unsolved attempted murder. I've been unable to drive or get a job due to my earlier conditions, and no remedy either conventional or alternative had worked. But I don't have any hex on me or evil spirits chasing me. Those things come from your thoughts and the beliefs you subscribe to.   My best heartfelt wishes for you all...

Thank you for your kind words!  :)

While I do agree that alot of  the religious powers at be use fear tactics, I dont necessarily agree the majority of religious people do this.  For the most part, I think the religious ones have good intentions and have just found a path that works for them.  There are always exceptions, but im speaking in generalities and generally speaking, the religious people I know do have kind and caring hearts.  I just happen to dissagree with their particular philosophies.

I have studied all the religions the graph shows and have basically taken bits and pices from each of them.  And that includes Christianity.    ;)  I pretty much keep the parts I like and toss the parts I dont.    Because of my past, I refuse to allow any fear into my personal spirituality.   So I have to toss all the teachings of a hell and devil and a God who is at war with such evil forces.  First off it doesent make any sense to me, second off its a whole lotta fear that doesent do me (personally) any good.  It takes me farther away from "God", not bring me closer.

Summing up my personal views for you in as simplest way  I can, I basically feel that God truley is love, everything is just how it should be, that there are reasons for the bad which make complete sense to me(cant have good without bad in the world of the physical)and that our time on Earth is pretty much just a great way to have a million different experiences in our eternity.  I believe every soul is eternal and we are pretty much just playing here.  For me personally there is no judgement, no fear, only love and light.  Just call me Polyanna!  HA HA

Words on how life is... Well for me its wonderful!  :D  I have an amazing family who I adore.  I live in a great area(for me anyways... some people would prolly go buggery living out in the middle of no where  ;)I do my best to help others whenever I can(which in turn gives me great peace and happiness)and am pretty much walking around happy and content.  Course, like everyone, I do have my moments.  But for the most part, im just your happy fullfilled mom and wife.  Kinda boring really, but it works for me!  :)

Thank you for your well wishes, they mean a lot.  I am trying so hard to see the good but it just seems that there isn't any!  2 therapists and they don't help.  They shove pills down my throat though, I guess that helps???

I wish everyone would just be happy, I know that is a stretch, but it would be nice even if for a day.

Quote From: dlynn_pa

How do you know what the truth is?  Where you there?  How do you know you have it right?  It sounds to me like you are putting people down because they don't want or need you to save them.  Sounds pretty high and mighty to me.  I don't need a supernatural entity to tell me the difference between right and wrong.  I do what is right and get trampled upon.

Major Religions of the World
Ranked by Number of Adherents

(Sizes shown are approximate estimates, and are here mainly for the purpose of ordering the groups, not providing a definitive number. This list is sociological/statistical in perspective.)

  1. Christianity: 2.1 billion
  2. Islam: 1.3 billion
  3. Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist: 1.1 billion
  4. Hinduism: 900 million
  5. Chinese traditional religion: 394 million
  6. Buddhism: 376 million
  7. primal-indigenous: 300 million
  8. African Traditional & Diasporic: 100 million
  9. Sikhism: 23 million
  10. Juche: 19 million
  11. Spiritism: 15 million
  12. Judaism: 14 million
  13. Baha'i: 7 million

  19. Neo-Paganism: 1 million
  20. Unitarian-Universalism: 800 thousand
  21. Rastafarianism: 600 thousand
  22. Scientology: 500 thousand

Are the remainder 67% pagans that need to be saved????  Sounds like maybe you would be out numbered.  Tolerance is obviously not a true christian trait if that is what you are claiming to be....

i   will  pray  for you..   their  is only one true liveing god.   all these others  are false gods  made up by man..    jesus  is the only way too heaven..     i never put  no one down, i only tell them the true  facts.  i read and study the bible.  i  go to church  and   i grew up in a big christian family..  i know in my heart  that jesus christ is our lord and father in heaven.  that  hes the only way to heaven.  jesus  loves us all  and wants too see us all saved...   i am  a pentecostal  free will  baptist!!

Good But Not Quite

Quote From: debtfixer

My first demonic experience happend at the age of 9 after the death of my brother, when I was young everyone told me they were just bad dreams...now at the age of 41 they say I'm just nuts and UNDER medicated.

My personal experiences would blow your mind, but sharing what happened to me is not why I'm writing, I'm writing because through the years I have learned a great deal about this subject and trust me it's not uncommon.

I am in know way going to start preaching but the Bible is filled with examples of not only possession but being tormented by demons...even Christ himself was tomented while hanging on the cross and I can assure you Christ was not possessed he was tormented, he was also tempted in the wilderness. This should be proof enough that you don't have to be an evil person to be possessed or tormented...was Christ evil?

What worked for me:

God does tell us how to cast out demons in HIS name.

I know you have tried this but remember one important thing when you cast them out do you believe that they have to leave or  do you doubt the living God?

Remember that the scriptures do say that demons cannot harm us, they are able to get to certian people though their weakness, for example fear, illness, drugs, and evil...etc. we can be weak in so many ways.

Pray for God to take your weakness away, and again don't doubt that he will, pray for faith...you don't get it unless you ask.

Last word of advice...

Do what I do at night and you "Will Not" have demon attacks, be tormented, demonic dreams.

When I go to bed I put a tape on of the Bible on cassette, demons are terrified of the word of God, when these words are going into your mind the demons will flee from you...just like God says!

If you have demonic problems during the day while you are wide awake, like myself...pray, read scriptures, listen on tape.

Do not feel guilty that the demons choose you, if you think for 1 second that they haven't got to the rest of the world...take another look at the world.

God be with you.

A person who is bound can not unbind themselves.  All you will be doing is wrestling with your deamons; which your writing has proved.  Get true deliverance (exorcism) from an anointed man of God with the power of Jesus Christ!  Then you (people) won't have to play Bible cassettes and you won't have to worry about deamonic problems during the day because they will be gone!

I'm proud of you!

The Lord Be With You!
