Dr. Phil revisits some of his most amazing stories of the season. First, Tim and Anne Marie were desperate to save their mother, Sylvia, who was constantly talking to the voices in her head. After 10 weeks of treatment, see the inspirational turn Sylvia has taken. What will she say when she meets Dr. Phil face to face? Then, just over a month ago, two women told Dr. Phil how they fell victim to alleged con man and bigamist Ed Hicks. See how their story helped another woman and brought Hicks into police custody. Plus, 18-year-old Natalee Holloway disappeared last May during a senior class trip to the island of Aruba. Dr. Phil is joined by Natalee’s mother, Beth, her lawyer, and a consultant to the Aruban government who defends the work of the investigators. Have there been new revelations since the last time Beth appeared on the show? Could rescuers be on the brink of finding the missing teen? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

thank you

Quote From: ann__marie

The hypothyroid was a contributing factor to my mom's mental illness.  Other contributing factors were how she handled stress, what she took on in life, and that fact that this schizoaffective disorder went on for so long without treatment.  She had the genetic make-up and the gene was expressed by all of the contributing factors.  Thank god that Dr. Phil was able to get these resources, Creative Care and Carol Wessels, so that we were able to help our mom.  There is just something to be said about Dr. Phil and his staff when they get onto something, they practically move mountains!  I will never let her go down that lonely road again.

God Bless You

Ann Marie

Ann Marie,  Thank you so much for taking the time and replying to my message.  I am so glad that your family got the help you so needed.  I saw the first show and it was so sad to think how you, as a family, were dealing with this stress and worry.  This follow up show was great and your family looked so happy.  Hats off to Dr. Phil for doing what he did to help all of you.  I hope the future is nothing but happy for you all.

I knew if I read long enough I'd find a voice of sanity!

I have the utmost sympathy for Beth Twitty and I pretty much admire what she's done to find her daughter.

But this boycott hysteria is insane!  For all you guys yelling for a boycott, I have a question:   If this is an ethical statement on your part about spending money in a place where there's been a botched police investigation, be sure to avoid Boulder, CO where the locals totally boinked the Jon Benet Ramsey case.   What about trials where the prosecution completely bungled it, like we've seen in LA County with OJ and Robert Blake?   When you make travel plans in the future, do you plan to check that city's record on investigations to make sure everything meets your approval?  Of course not.

This is nothing more than bullying a small island nation because we can.   The powers-that-be won't get hurt by a boycott - it'll be the taxi drivers and the cafe owners.

I still have no idea why Dr. Phil is involved in this and I personally don't like it!!

I have tried, in a number of apparently deleted posts, to agree that there is no reason for a boycott, because it will only hurt small businesses and people who have nothing to do with the botched investigation. I think the reason Dr. Phil is so adament about a boycott is because he really thinks that it will give results to Beth Twitty. I disagree. I think that by boycotting Aruba, only one thing will happen in response- They will stop caring about what happened to Natalee and will focus on their other tourists from other countries!!! They will stop looking. Stop asking questions. And stop trying to do what they can to find her.

Quote From: terrell

First of all, I would think that most of you on this board have never been to Aruba. I go every year for two /three months and would you believe that the only people that are drunk and acting like a jackass  during Carnival or other months that my family has been there are the  teenagers and young adults from the U.S. The Arubian family I stay with always ask me why do the young Americans act this way? My answer is because they are away from their family  and going wild.

Well back to my questions:

1. Where were are the chaperons?  Why hasen't Dr. Phil had them on his show to explain why they failed.

2. Where are Natalies girl friends that were with her and saw her leave. Why dosen't Dr. Phil have them on the show to explain why they did not report what they saw that night to the chaperons? Is it because they were also wasted or disappointed because they were not asked out that evening? Dr. Phil have you ask this question? No.

3. Was there a bed check to see if everyone was accounted for by the chaprons on the last night? I have been on trips with teenagers as one of the chaperons for the group we had balances an checks to account for everyone. Dr. Phil, I have not heard you ask this question to Beth as of this date. Yes or no?

4. Why did the chaperons not report her missing the morning of the flight and did the girlfriends  not say anythig about Natalie not being accounted for. Dr. Phil  have you asked this question to Beth. I don't think so. There is a one and a half hour to two hour check in at the airport. Were the Aruba police notified at that time?

Well These are some of my unaswered questions and I guess a lot of you arm chair lawyers. police and lawmakers will rebut with answers to my questions.

I as a parent would not let my 37 yr old daughter go to Carlos and Charlies this past year when she came to Aruba to visit me, for two weeks,  because I knew what went on there and I blame the chaperons for allowing there charges  to visit this bar. This bar in Aruba is no different than any bar here in the U.S. One goes there to drink, get picked up and who knows  what happens later. A sixteen year old girl is not ready to handle what can take place in this type of bar and if Natalie was of age here in the states, to drink, would Beth allow her to go to such a bar. The chaperons should have known what was going on. I see it all the time when I am on the island the young teenage girls going after the Dutch boys, the Dutch boys going for the American girls and with mixing in drinking and other things, anything can happen. Aruba is no different than any city is the U.S. Aruba is no different than any other Island in the Caribbean with the exception it is a much friendler Island I.guess we need to boycott the whole U.S. because of the unrecovered missing people.

Now a little more of my disgust  of what I read on this subject. What about here in America. Who is  raising hell and trying to do any thing about the videos taken during the Spring Breaks called "Girls gone wild" ? I would guess there are some of you out there that enjoy seeing this kind of smut, and this is what happens with teenagers when they get away from home and are unsupervised. Parents, don't think your teenager is a perfect little angle. If you do you are living in a closet. Go on a suprise visit and watch your children. Cancun Mexico, Panama City Beach, Fl and others here in the U.S. are lucky that something has not happened there like in Aruba or has it and the families did not get a soap box to stand on in front of the media like Beth. Why don't all of you scream and shout at your local ploice or U.S. government when some boy, girl, teenager or adult goes missing and it remains unsolved? You just sit on your rears and do nothing. What makes Aruba different? A sope box and media or a mother that will not accept that a daughter would do something wrong. There are places; in any city, if you are not prepared for you should stay away from and if you do not believe this you live in a closed closet all your life and never get out.

Do not get me wrong, I am very sorry for their loss, but it was not at the fault of Aruba. I see a so called honor student with no real life experience and the lack of chaperoned supervision and neither of these have been addressed. Why not Dr. Phil? All we here is what Beth thinks is not being done and her daughter was good. I understand the Dutch laws and would say most of you do not and most of you are just following along on the ride with no knowledge except what you have been told by a distraught mother.

Another point directed to Gov. Sonny Predue. Yes boycott Aruba and have your home town/ state Delta Airline fail because of your stupid actions. I think not.

Just this week, as I read in "Aruba Today newspaper", the Georgia Chamber of Commerce held meetings in Aruba for the thid year and plan to meet with our Gov. Sonny Predue about his getting on the shirt tail of other govenors supporting the boycott. Here again government in action without knowledge of all of the facts and it is happening in their own cities, but the authorities in the States can and will at their demand put a stop to the media and press .

Have any of you, on this board, ever been to Aruba not as a tourist and lived with an Arubian family with there culture and family life, I have and still do, if you had you would have a different attitude and understand a little better because they are the most wonderful people; and family oriented, you could meet in this world and their laws do work even if we, the U.S. , don't think so.

We all need to do a little more soul searching about what is going on here in the good ole USA.

As to the crime in Aruba. Basicly there is little to none and a missing teen is not a everyday occurance like it is here in the good ole US of A. We can't even curb the number of missing children in a day, month or year and we call ourselfs crime experts. We cant solve our own crimes. If you were there you would read in the news paper and hear on TV about how many illegals are picked at night or in a week and deported back to their countires to eliminate crime and to have a safe country. Do you see our great US of A doing this. Not here in Atlanta. Here we support illegals with our social services and put them in jail when a crime is done, there again we support illegals. Aruba does not.

I have been told that the prison in Aruba has more South Americans and US citizens for drug smuggling caught at the airport than any one else. Here again The good ole US of A can't even get close to stopping drugs.

One other thought. What if Aruba boycotts the U.S. then there would be a lot of loss revenue here in our cities and malls because  most families do come to the states twice a year for shopping. Does the U.S. want to loose this revenue? I think the loss of U.S. boycotted revenue in  Aruba is less than what it would be if Aruba boycotted the U.S. because Americans do not spend that much money there on vacation. The American tourist wants all the discounts and or free coupons they can get.

Well I could say more but not enough time or space. I guess I'll sum it up as get off the band wagon, quit being a follower and quit voicing opions if you are only a follower and can not base your opinion on the truth.

I am a white collar white American, college educated and worldly traveled. We have, ( our family) decided Aruba is our home away from home. My family loves our Country, The U.S.A. and when we travel we do not like to hear other countries or Island local people put us down.  We are proud to be Americans, but we also believe that everyone outside of American should be told the truth and be given a fair chance to explain their cultures and laws. The U.S.A is not as perfect as people think it is and we need to clean up in our own country before telling others how to do theirs.

Here I am Back again. Well it looks like when I post my thoughts there is a possibility it will be cencored. Is this freedom of speech in the good ole U.S. of A.?

What a wonderful post! I couldn't agree with you more!!!

If Arbuans don't want "drunk Americans" or "drunk tourists" hanging around, they should petition the tourist industry to change the focus of their marketing, which caters to the "I want to have a party and go to a party and drink and be drunk" mentality.

who's hate filled?

Quote From: blgspc

Don’t care for eavesdropping…But, you don’t mind lying?!?!

You’re not only angry. ..Your profile has you residing in the good ole US? And, you think Yahootie needs to use his 401K to get some education?!?

"...America has angered so many people that they are even attacking my country to show you how angry they are...." So, is this Kansas, Montana, Colorado....where???

I didn’t read anything in Yahootie’s post that denies that MANY even most of our ancestors were European. Yes, our country is a youngster compared to many others. A lot of your tirade seems irrelevant, bitter and hate-filled!!!

If your post is based in fact and you are angry and feeling threatened by the DECISIONS OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT, and dislike ‘Americans’, why are you listing your country as “US” under your profile??? Get some guts and get honest!!!

If you really dislike the spread of hatred then stop spreading it!!!

The issue is that a 19 year old girl is missing! Her family, her friends, her community, her state and her nation as a people want to know what happened to her and are willing to boycott, rattle some cages, do some shouting and NOT DROP the issue until Natalee is either returned alive or for burial!!!

Since when did residing in the United States preclude one from criticizing the President or any other aspect of our government?  The freedom to do just that is the very reason many people choose to live in this country. Perhaps you should consider a move.  And, by the way, stopping to look up someone's profile and then using the info to berate them seems disturbing and a little stalker-like to me--I'll save you the trouble I live in Houston, TX .

Has a check of passport offices been made?

She may have gone through the US or Canada to another country. As a tourist she would have had her passport on her.

Also, have any rewards been posted? A big one should be offered. With guarantees of silence upon freedom.

Have any horary astrologers been consulted or psychics? These are worth a try when everything else fails.

I think the point keeps getting missed here

Quote From: ninjai

You americans are so strange......

First of all I would like to say that these thing (kidnapping/murder/rape) never schould happen. Because it's terrible.

But the one thing I don't understand about the USA is: They would like that everyone is behaving as they say. So a american girl is lost in Aruba and Aruba should 'obey' the USA???? Why.

I am Dutch and the laws in Aruba are the same like ours. Those laws are good. Because if you look to american prisons there are innocent people out there. Because they were pressured by the police to say they did it.

(B.T.W I am NOT discussing now about if Joran is quilty or not ok, so please...)

Another thing I would like to add is another case, here in the Netherlands we have another gay who did crimes in the Netherlands. But he smugled stuf to the USA. The Dutch needed to give him to the americans because they wanted. HE IS DUTCH. And now there is prove that meanwile the investigation to the actions of the "Zwarte Cobra" (his name) the americans didn't respect our laws.

They broke it on cerveral points.

You can't say to other country's: You should treat us with respect, while in meanwhile you disrespect them.

I strongly belive you don't now enything about other countries. Americans only have a vission about there own beloning, and there wallet.

And by the way did you ever send 3 F-16 to search for a foreiner who was lost in ameica?

I hope tis discussion will be a lot better than the last one we had on these boards about Nathalee Holloway. Treat echtother with respect, and please, don't say: You are stupid / basterds / dump or that stuff. Everyone has a diffrent vission, and respect each other. Or it won't be a good discussion. On the last board it was more: Kill the Arubans and Dutch.

But comeon respect you have to earn, you can't take it by forse.

Have a nice day, Ninjai

One more time: If you've watched any of Dr. Phil's shows about the Natalee Holloway matter; in fact, if you've read a lot of the coverage, you would know that there has been glaring incompetence and downright refusal to cooperate on behalf of the authorities.  Looks a bit like a cover-up.  Don't forget, Joran Vandersloot's father is a Judge.  The boys in question in this matter have been caught lying and still they are free and Natalee has not been found.  I believe the point of all the discussions about boycotting Aruba is to stop all the BS and get something done in this matter.  Too much time has gone by and Natalee's mom has basically been running in circles.  I don't believe the "USA" or anyone else is saying Aruba needs to "act like" us in this matter, we are saying stop jerking us around and start doing something constructive to bring closure to Natalee's family.  If the only way to get them to do that is say, well, we won't go there until you do, THAT'S WHAT WE'LL DO.  Because all the folks who depend on tourism cash are going to get annoyed themselves and maybe THEY will make the folks in charge of this investigation get off the pot and make something happen.  I don't know why people are so ticked off at Dr. Phil.  If it were me and that were my kid missing, I'd certainly want him on my side.  I don't think he cares one whit whether it happened in Aruba or the Bahamas or Texas for that matter.  If he sees what looks like an injustice, he tries to bring it to light and get something done about it.  He's talking about the actions of the people involved, not the place itself.  If I owned a business in Aruba and I saw or heard that people were staying away because they are afraid that something could happen to them and no one would do anything about it, I'd be motivated to get my fellow business-owners together and get something done.  I believe that's the intended result.

I think about Natalee and Her family almost every day.  Look on the internet for new information leading to finding natalee.  I still dont understand something.   WHERE WERE THE SHAPARONES DURING ALL THIS.  WHERE WERE NATALEE'S FRIENDS.  Has anyone there been questioned.  Does anyone know what happened.  I have never read anything about the adults that went on this trip with the students.....
That's what i wanted to know. But apparently the chaperones and her friends who were with her in Aruba were told to  shut up and don't say anything. Go figure

I totally agree that we should be able to voice our criticisms of our government without fear of recrimination.  I'll say it - I have absolutely no love for this administration.  Before all the posts hit to crucify me for saying that, and before the NSA comes to my house after reading this, the Holloway matter has nothing to do with anyone but the folks in Aruba who seem to know a lot more than they are saying, and the people who aren't making them say it!  Can we, possibly, not make this about anything else?  It justs convolutes the whole thing and people get sour with each other.  Let's face it, no one wants to think about the horror of a missing loved one.  Wouldn't we want anything and everything done to find out what happened to them?

Her passport was found with her luggage.  A $100,000 reward has been offered, last I heard.

I'll be willing to bet there have been psychics that have contacted Mrs. Twitty.
