Topic : A Child's Voice Connection, Prevent Child Abuse; Abductions

It's good to see legislation moving forward in the right direction, but I feel the same sentiments as you, keep them locked up for a longer period of time.  And in the mean time I believe they should triple their efforts or more to figure out what makes these pedophiles tick. 

If you can diffuse a ticking time bomb then you have conquered the root of the problem.  I feel the laws should be tougher, and the punishments more stringent.  But what is making these people do these things?  And how much control do they have over their actions? 

These are the questions that need answering, and searching for a gene, childhood trauma the perpetrators may have experienced and so on. 

You know what my problem is, and I guess it is from my religious beliefs, I still feel some sympathy for the perpetrators. I hope this doesn't cause an outrage.  But hear me out.   

• Many child molesters were abused when they were a child.  A what is going on in their minds is years of frustration, guilt, anger, hostility, and a warped view of the world.  Unless they received appropriate counseling and treatment when they are young. 
• BUT! It infuriates me to see what all of these little children have gone thru.  It is a chain of sinister continuity that has to be broken. 
• I know there are those who do have control and are just sinister and selfish in their thinking, and devise their own terroristic ways of hurting children. These should be dealt with.
• BUT referring to the previous bullet point, what causes them to be this way?  I think through time and research, and this is a very big part of my campaign, we will begin to see more closely, like looking at a germ under the microscope for the first time, the brain alteration, or genetic factor, or chemical abnormality, or something we may not even be aware of; the hope of finding the link that causes pedophiles is the key.
• Which brings me to my next point.  DO I believe we should excuse minor incidents?  NO.  They should be dealt with as well.  An example, I was told by a friend and co-worker of mine many years ago that his sister was fondled by someone, and the family caught wind of it, and it ceased.  It was a one time incident.  Do they know that for sure?  I don't know.  Degrees of punishments for degrees of crime is what our system is basically based on.  But all we can do as a society is the best we can do.
• Should we consider the pedophile, not one who harms by beating or torturing or killing, but who subjects a teenager for instance, to intercourse; should he be considered something else besides a human being?  Should we tie him to a tree, beat his flesh and torture him repeatedly?  Should we deprive him of basic human needs such as, food and water and allow him to die?  Or should we subject him to life without any social connections, or human connections?

These are just a few things to be considered.  WE ARE ON A CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT CHILD ABUSE, WHETHER IT BE SEXUAL ABUSE, OR OTHER KINDS OF ABUSE, PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ETC.  

WHEN IT COMES TO A DECISION WHETHER TO LOCK UP SOMEONE TO KEEP THEM FROM HURTING A CHILD, THAT IS WHAT SHOULD BE DONE! 

And this is another controversial matter.  Are all child molesters pedophiles?  NO, Not all of them.  But most are.  I know this for a fact.  I sincerely believe that there are a lot of cases in which MENTALLY ILL individuals may molest a child; but with the right medications and treatments can overcome this.  Let's just say that I know of some real life case studies from many years ago. 

I believe that ALL sex offenders, and other violent criminals who are let back out on the street into society should be released with a monitoring device that tracks their every move for life!  And in that case there would be the RED ZONES, any where a child resides, or children congregate, such as schools, and playgrounds, etc.  this individual will be arrested the minute he crosses into a red zone.  That's one of my goals. 

We do sincerely have to look at the individual cases, and the individuals who commit these atrocities, and decide what punishments are appropriate, and if they can be cured of their illness.   

BUT MY STAND IS ALWAYS FOR THE CHILD.  AND IF WE CAN FIND OUT WAYS TO CURE CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS, AND KEEP THE REST OF THEM AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN, THEN WE HAVE SUCCEEDED. 

I WANT TO CLARIFY, I DO NOT HAVE SPECIFIC ANSWERS FOR EVERY QUESTION, AND MOST OF ALL, IN NO CASE DO I CONDONE, ACCEPT, EXCUSE OR FEEL SORRY FOR SOMEONE WHO ABUSES A CHILD.   TO HAVE SOME SYMPATHY FOR SOME INDIVIDUALS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM OR EXCUSE THEM.  THERE ARE MANY THAT I CANNOT BRING MYSELF TO HAVE ANY SYMPATHY FOR, AND THAT IS THOSE WHO VIOLENTLY MOLEST AND/OR HARM AND/OR KILL INNOCENT CHILDREN.   

THE REASON I MENTIONED FEELING SOME SYMPATHY FOR SOME OF THE INDIVIDUALS, IS MAINLY THE ONES WHO ARE CLOSE IN AGE TO THE VICTIM, THE VICTIM CONSENTS TO THIS ACT, AND THE PERPATRATER DOES HAVE A SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS. 

ANYTHING BEYOND THIS, I CANNOT GRASP ANY EMOTIONS FOR ANY EXCUESES! 

IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THIS, EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE A GROWN WOMAN, I CAN GET A GRASP ON THE CHILD IN YOU, THE PART THAT IS STILL HURTING! 

As you, and the rest know I am not a doctor, but I understand where you are coming from.  Many health professionals only see the black and white they read in the books.   They cannot begin to comprehend the REALITY of what they are treating unless they have been there. 

My heart goes out to you, sincerely!  I wish I could protect the child in you!  I wish I could have been there for you to defend you against your tragedies. 

I am so sincere.  As I told my wife many years ago, when we were teenagers, I wish I could hold every child in this world who is subject to abuse and protect them!  I still feel that way.  And I know the pain never goes away.  And sometimes it takes a lot to bring tears to my eyes, but not at this moment.  You sound like you need someone in your life whom you can put your total trust in, and to tell you everything is going to be ok!

AND I AM ALSO CALLING ON THE ALMIGHTY GOD IN MY PRAYERS FOR YOU!  

This brings home the realization of what I am fighting for.  I know there are many grown women in our society, and this world who were molested as a child, and this pain is deep, BUT THERE ARE ANSWERS. 

And again, I can only offer my opinion, but just the term "Self Worth" comes to mind.  I haven't read the book, but I can imagine it's contents.   

And let me offer one other small bit of connection.  When I was in Jr High and High School, I was bullied.  Nothing compared to what you and many young girls go thru.  But I was beaten to a pulp on more than one occasion.  And simply because I was smaller in stature and number.  So to be over powered, this is only on example in my life.  I was humiliated, and it still crosses my mind frequently.  I carried my Bible to school, thus I was a "different" character and deserved to be punished in the minds of those individuals. 

But I have my family, which is my security blanket. Every man, no matter how tough, mean, or strong has the need for acceptance, and the need to be loved and the need to feel secure.  Even grown men with great strength have the need for a feeling of security! 

I wish I knew the answers, I wish I knew what to say.   

I wanted to related to your counselor.  My doctors seem to be the same way, just because they do not see any thing in the ex-rays that will cause pain, they assume I have no pain.  I had to stand my ground just to get pain meds from my MD, because she has gotten so arrogant, she believes her staff is perfect,  but they made the mistake of not mailing my Rx of the Patch. 

Then I had insist on speaking to the MD, no matter how long I had to wait to get an Rx for pain. 

Then they called in Propoxy, which I told them specifically not to call in because it is ineffective, and it increases my depressive symptoms. 

I have had too many experiences with MD's who think they are god.  They only think they know, they don't really know what is going on. 

I am rambling.  Sorry.  I hope you feel well, and post me anytime.  I am still working on that email issue. Looks like I may have a virus that some how interferes with the email.

What a very beautiful and meaningful poem.  I am going to print this one out.  And the "Cross our Hearts Around the World" has such depth in meaning.   

And of course all the parents of these children. It's just when I saw Carlies name it made me think that I saw her mom on TV the other night because she was arrested for prostiution and drug charges. I am sure she had problems before Carlie was killed but I think that it has definetly sent her deeper into trouble.
