     I believe Cherie should leave John just for the fact that he is physically abusing her.  Having been abused myself by my ex-husband (notice he is an "ex" now), it should not be tolerated at all.  I have not heard Dr. Phil mention this part of their relationship as yet.  You only have one life to live and you shouldn't have to live it in fear like Cherie is doing.

Personally I think all  pedophiles/rapists should be castrated.
