Dr. Phil House

Quote From: harbour909

Dr. Phil - I LOVE YOUR PROGRAM.  When you first announced the "Dr. Phil House" I was very optimistic about it - but now I dislike it very much - so much so that I seldom watch that program.  WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE IN THE DR. PHIL HOUSE TO RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS?????  Seems to me that it is just a free vacation for some families.
I fully agree with your statement.  I also don't like watching the Dr Phil House and feel that these people are grabbing onto a free vacation via Dr. Phil.  I don't enjoy watching this part of the program and hope that Dr. Phil will see these comments and agree to do things differently.

Nose job

Quote From: koolchic

Please keep your nose. I am part ITalian/polish/slovish. i have my polish grandmas nose. and i look exactly like my slovish grandma. we could be twins. your gorgous, i wouldnt change your face for nothing. Look at who you are inside instead. thats what ive been doing and i wouldnt change my polish nose for anybody. people will like you for you you are, and remember this: your beautiful from the inside. The outside is just the package. i think if you seen my  nose, youd keep yours!!!! i think you look fine to me.
Brad......please get the nose job.  You are adorable, but will be so much more adorable when you have a nose that suits your face.  Getting something corrected on your face is no different than having a birthmark removed that is unsightly or that you don't like.  It doesn't change who you are, it only changes the way you look.  I think that a lot of people on this site that are saying to keep your nose are thinking that you are denouncing your heritage.  I know that is not the case and if I could afford to do something about what I don't like, I certainly would do it.........go and do it and be happy.

Come on, Robin

Quote From: beadinmom

I think this boy has gone through some very rough hormonal changes and probably started off mouthing back to the mother, and she totally overeacted and the whole relationship began its ugly descent. Yes, it is primarily the mother (and biodad's) fault that they act like childish psychopaths in response to their son's atrocious behavior. My boys went through a mouthy period in middle school, but they never call me the heart stabbing names this kid has routinely spewed at his parents. He must take some of the responsibility as well...he is 17 years old and will soon be out of the house, trying to relate to employers and girls as Dr. Phil pointed out. Robin is a sweet lady, no doubt, but you can't tell me she never has raised her voice with her two sons. She is not a saintno one is and I doubt her sons were angels. I believe she didn't help the situation by coming across holier than thou. Yeah, I know she was trying to give the boy some love, but really that was not her role, she is not a therapist nor is she this kid's parent. This whole show was creepy and awkward. I hope for this family's sake, they will really work with the help that DocPhil provides.
  • I think that Robin and Dr. Phil did a superb job in raising two great boys, but come on, Robin.  You can not tell me that in all the years of raising your boys, you never raised your voice???  I find that very hard to believe even tho I think that you are a sweet, calm person.  Kids have a way of pushing our buttons and I fail to believe that you just thanked God for them in the midst of a tantrum or that you and Phillip did EVERYTHING right.  If that is true, please write a book and let the other parents know how it is done.  Even the "best" parents have their moments and it is unfair to lay all the blame on parents that have an out of control kid.  You were lucky with Jay and Jorden and I'm sure being married to Dr. Phil didn't hurt.  He probably had some good advice along the way , but I still would like to know how you did the "perfect" mom bit.

You are so right

Quote From: ramair

Why not do the follow-up everyone really wants to see? The first Dr Phil family. Erin, Marty, Katherine, Nathan and Alex? They're the only reason I sat through those two very disapointing 1000th and 1001st shows. Expecting more than just a taped message from the family, minus Alex!
I agree with you.  The "real" follow-up most viewers want to see is the first family that was on Dr. Phil.  Why can't that be done unless the "family" doesn't want it.  I'm sure there would be a lot of people that would tune in for that one.  I'd also like to see the other family....Staci and her many kids.  The one boy was sent to Texas to live and I would love to know how he is doing along with the rest of the family.  It seems to me that the family had tons of problems that seemed unsurmountable and I'm sure that would be another interesting show and tons of people would love to see.  Erin, Marty, Katherine, Nathan and Alex are the one family that would draw the most viewers and I think that Dr. Phil owes us a look into what is going on in their lives.

did I miss this also????

Quote From: dibobrchjo

Todays show was really good.  I love seeing the follow-ups especially when people are helped.  I thought that they were going to follow up on the deaf blind triplets.  That story truly touched me and I was wondering how the children and mom are making out.  Did I miss it???????

I was waiting to hear about the triplets also and figured I must have missed it, but don't really think that I did.  Didn't Dr. Phil say that they were doing an update on them?  Where was it????  I also was wondering what has happened to them and how the parents are coping with such a truly big hardship.  I don't even think that I could cope with one child like that and they are coping with three.  Please update us on this family.

updates

I understand that re-runs happen in the summer and new shows cannot be on 24/7, but I think that a nice thing to do would be, at the end of each re-run show, a verbal update could be told to the viewers.  I am sure that the staff at Dr. Phil keeps in contact with the guests they have and I would like it reported more often about what has happened to the people we see, especially the serious shows that NEED an update.  All it seems is that the show will update the audience with the "silly" shows that mean nothing.  Please, please, please keep us more informed.  It would be worth seeing the repeats if an update was included at the end of each show......just a thought.  What do others think??????

Tired of media hype

Quote From: latte2008

Surprised at some of the vitriolic comments that OJ didnt get a fair trial, due to race and anger against the Goldman's. This man committed two heinous murders 13 years ago, got away with it. I've never believed in karma but if i were to, this is a dang good example. Also, thank you for the continued updates on Casey Anthony, Dr. Phil. You bring out issues in this story that many overlook (another guilty person going free, and COMPLAINING? because house arrest is 'too confining')?
I too am sick and tired of hearing about OJ and think there are way too many "good" topics for Dr. Phil to concentrate on.  OJ is guilty for killing Nicole and Ron and guilty for this other crime and should be locked up and the key thrown away.  He got away the first time and had 13 years of freedom and now it is time he does the time for the crimes.  I also am so sick of hearing about Caylee Anthony.  It is 24/7 coverage on Nancy Grace and we certainly don't need another show talking about it.  Enough is being said and dragging on and on.  It just amazes me that some people get the national coverage for a missing child and others get none.  I understand that this case has a lot of interesting facts and people want to know what happened and this mother must be punished even if a body is never found.  She is another one that will get her dues some day (might not be now), but in the end, she will pay.  Also, I commend the Goldman's for doing what they have been doing for all these years.  If it were my son/brother, I would never get over it and want to see this horrible man put away for life.

updates, please!!!!!

Quote From: manofgoods

pdates on Kaylee & Sylvia are some that we definitely want to hear, but others like Pierre & Shenek, hmmm, I'll pass. Honestly, I would've loved to see updates on couples & whatever happened to them in their relationships to replace those, such as Charles & Tracy:

http://drphil.com/messageboard/topic/967
http://drphil.com/messageboard/topic/1066

Or Orleana & Brent:

http://drphil.com/messageboard/topic/2468

Or Shani & Jason (in which Shani was wrongfully & horribly judged by lots of posters on there):

http://drphil.com/messageboard/topic/3272

There are a lot more including abusers that I also want to see updates on, but these are just examples.
