DIANA

diana!

sorry it took me so long to get back here.  ugh, stuff.  you know?  just STUFF.

okay -- let's go the easy route.  cut and paste this url:

http://community.drphil.com/boards/?EntryID=543&SubCategoryID=23

this should bypass everything and just get you there -- to the new chronic pain message board area.

otherwise -- from *here*, click on "speak your mind" -- it will give you options that pop up to the left -- pick "new beta community boards"

you will arrive on a page that has "today's show discussion" blaring at you --

scroll down the page until you see "HEALTH"

then to the right, select "disease and illness"

then scroll down to the everloving CHRONIC PAIN MESSAGE BOARD!  YOU ARE THERE!

one thing -- have you made your "profile"?  i can't remember if it is necessary but i think it might be...

i hope this helps... and hope you are feeling okay -- see you soon!

prof

01/22 President Obama: Hope vs. Reality

Quote From: luckygirl143

I agree that single mothers are hardworking, but it doesn't mean that they work harder that mothers who are married.  In fact, singel mothers get way more breaks that married mothers.  Take college as an example.  You are an RN.  You most likely got some kind of financial aid for nursing school (grants and such). The way this country works (not necessarily speaking of you) is that if you are a girl who wants to go to college for free have a baby!  The government will pay for your tuition!

where did you pick up that piece of uninformed trivia?  financial aid is based on need;  scholarships are based on achievement.  that's it.

try again.

01/22 President Obama: Hope vs. Reality

Quote From: regularwoman

I enjoyed today's show.  I thought Ann was entertaining and insightful. I noticed some were upset with her and it only confirms what she says, liberal people hate the other side.  They want it their way and their way only. Ann never stopped smiling and was respectful.  Some people can't take the truth.  I would love to see her back on the show. Its funny when people say Dr. Phil was against "President Obama" I felt the other way through-out the election process.   Guess we all have our own slant on things.  I appreciate our diversity and welcome other views....I'm thinking some others don't like my views and I'll hear about it.

well, if you feel like prostrating yourself for the cause and setting yourself up as a sweet little straw woman, go ahead.

ann coulter certainly is entertaining and ought to be presented as such -- not as an "esteemed guest" as the show advertised her.

i am instantly wary of folks tossing about "they/their"and "some people" -- it is just too easy, too easy, too much the presumptuous "neoconservative" talking head wannabe.  i hope you can stir up enough rancor to get your rocks off.

so yeah, okay -- consider yourself bitchslapped.

as for the rest?

yawn.

dr; phil staff?

i seem to be missing some posts -- 2, at least.  they surely weren't any more inflammatory toward the mcgraw media machine than the ones you allowed.

Living with Chronic Pain

Quote From: gwmorris

Well, apparently most people just POST to this "forum", and it doesn't appear that many actually read this VERY LONG thread here. I don't know who designed this system, but it could use a serious LOT of work! What's the point of having a discussion if you must read through hundreds of posts first to gain an understanding of what is there? Months ago, I asked if anyone has spouses or loved ones with Multiple Sclerosis, but never heard a word about it or saw any other replies to it. I still have problems finding the message boards, and for the life of me can't find anything on the normal menus to access it. Only when I scroll to the very bottom of the page can I find it, and that's not good programming style (for whoever did it, and yes, I've done a bit of programming in my day so I can say that). I'd consider a little rework for this, as I'm sure a lot of visitors would like to interact with the other viewers of the show. I would say LOL, but I can't stand LOL.

ummm, that would be JANUARY 26 when you first posted, and if you would refer to the top of the page, or orient yourself in general to the goings-on at the world-class establishment (cough cough), you'd see that we were THREATENED with closing by january 2009.  for some stupid reason, they've not acted on their threat and that's how you have been able to post here.  i only stop by now and then to see if there are stragglers.

follow becky's advice, and i hope we can interact, dialog, or otherwise chat over in the correct area.

Quote From: angel111999

I APPRECIATE the fact that you are passing my messages on to the new Board. Although they are my words, you are still the messanger for me to keep in touch with everyone there.

I am so delighted to hear that your Husband has taken the first step to recovery. That will make it easier on you to deal with other situations you are going through.

Although you may feel the process is slow, keep on going forward to making your life a better one for yourself. Once you do that, you will feel so much better about the steps you are taking to improving your life.

Just remember what I have always said to youTAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bella Angel (((HUGS)))
ummm, aren't the words from ralph marston?
