Double-standards

The thing that really bothers me about the relationship between Rochelle & John, is that I'm sure you all know if a man was that controlling to a woman, everyone would be up in arms. They'd be demanding she get a divorce for her own good, ect.

Yet when a woman is controlling a man there's none of that? I mean there are people who post here saying he needs to get rid of her. I don't see Dr. Phil telling him the best thing is to get a divorce, alot of his advice sounded more like you should just, "Grin and bear it". It's another double-standard in our culture. If a guy is in a bad relationship who cares, if a woman is in one oh that's just horrible!

03/03 Teens and Sex with Bishop T.D. Jakes

I'm used to religious leaders acting somewhat childish. That guy Ed was absolutely infantile, he keeps yelling "It will bweak their hearts! It will bweak their hearts!", like someone with a 2 year old's understanding of the world through fairy tales. Grow up.

Bye Bye Baby

This is how the mom is behaving:

"WAAAAH! I got thrown off the airplane! WAAAH!! It's not fair! WAAAAH! Nobody tells mommy to quiet her baby down! WAAAH!!!"

Being an adult DOES NOT entitle you to behave and reason as if you are the age of your own small child. She couldn't afford a pacifier? She wants to go on TV and throw a temper tantrum cause someone finally told mommy what's what, and she could handle it cause most mothers like her these days, think they can temper tantrum their way out of everything. Then they wonder why their child thinks it will work for them.

Wow! I'm SO glad to see that I'm not the only one disgusted with Jennifer Hewitt's clothing on Ghost Whisperer! I love the show, but am floored by her terrible choice of wardrobe. One episode showed her in an elementary school with her boobs hanging out...good God!

I love your last line: "Can you see us? Yes we can. Cover 'em up."   HAHAHA

It reminds me of an episode of Family Guy, where they parodied the Ghost Whisperer by having Jennifer Hewitt's breasts drawn excessively huge. She's talking to a ghost, and asking why he came back, and the ghost is saying "uh..". Like he's trying to come up with something other than, to see the chick with the huge boobs.

I don't think anyone would complain, cause she's beautiful. Our society gives passes to beautiful women, as if being born with a perfect figure is something of a personal accomplishment. She suffers from, "My beauty has gotten me everything I wanted this far, so I might as well keep on using it" Syndrome. She's one of those women who will lose everything when their looks fade when they are older. Perhaps she deserves pity, for she'll loose everything with her looks.

When I heard that poor mom talking about how she was kicked off the plane, I was just upset. I have TWO small babies under the age of 3. I live in Western Canada and my mother in law lives in Florida. She sent us down to see her and we went with Continental. We dident have any problems with our flight. We were sitting in the back so that we dident bother anyone.

I think that the flight attendant on the flight that the mom and her baby were on must of been having a bad day. The flight attendant sould of asked for the baby to hush up and walk away. If the other flyers were having a problem, they should of asked to be moved to another seat. I know what its like to fly with a sick baby or a baby who just wants to talk. The flight attendant was in the wrong NOT the mom. The staff needs to know what its like to be on the other end of things. Being a mom on her own with a young child is very hard.

You mentioned sitting in the back of the plane so not to bother other people. You did something the mother on the show did not. Made an effort to see that your child wasn't bothersome to others. All this mother needed to do was buy a pacifier.

What did you think people would say. especially professional people, who are professionally dressed, wearing proper clothing for a regular flight...

Kyla you dressed like a total.....Well what can I say on these forums thats acceptable...Like trash? is that ok?

Kyla your totally FAKE. Your tan is FAKE, your personality is FAKE, you say you want nothing more done about the situation BUT yet you come on the Dr. PHIL SHOW! where 10 million + people watch daily...

Come on Kyla anyone, any person and especially and guy with the smarts of a Grade 6 student can see right through you... The only reason your on the Dr. Phil show is so that people can see you infront of a large audience, you think somehow it will give you your 15 seconds of fame.... LOL how about this instead... 15 seconds of shame!

Kyla, its only an airplane, not some stripper bar so you can wear jeans, jogging pants and a sweater.. Its a plane ride, why dont you wear something comfortable to help deal with those economy room seats, you know they are tight for room....SO why wear a super short skirt and some 'by the way' to tight shirt to go along with your fake and bake tan that you got in some tanning bed cause you can't afford a trip to Mexico.

Kyla just please be yourself, you will get along farther ahead and not make a fool out of yourself... You may not get on The Dr. Phil show again but if you cry and complain enough you may make the Montel Williams show if hes still even on the air...

GOD knows if you went on someone important and respected like Nancy Grace that she would tear a strip out of you on a repeated occasion... Oh yea and the same goes for Judge Judy just incase your trying to get on that reality show too....

Soooo sad, sheesh some things people do to try and get noticed...

Next time I go on a passenger plane, Im gonna wear nothing but super short, cut off jeans, no underwear and some torn, stained wife beater shirt!!! LOL!!!

The things some people who thing they are attractive do for any action they can get... Sooo pathetic!!!

I notice you felt a need to mention Kyla's fake tan. We live in a day where getting a tan from the sun is harmful, it can cause UV damage and skin cancer. For all you know Kyla was using a tanning lotion, which is a non-harmful alternative to baking in the sun. I agree with everything else you said, but you shouldn't go off on women with fake tans. You'll be surprised, when they're older they'll be the ones with nice skin, cause they didn't cook themselves.

I need to know are you a mom or a dad?  have you ever had a sick baby?? if not then you dont know what its like to fly with a small child. Its hard to have kids and fly. Trying to keep a small child confind to a seat and quite is the most hardest thing I have ever had to do. What are you going to do next time a overweight person sits next to you and their are is touching you ???

I would love to see you fly with a sick baby and we'll see who is a baby.

By the way, just so you know I didn't tell you wether I'm a mom or a dad in my previous post, is because parents feel they're justified in treating non-parents as lesser than them. Being a parent doesn't magically make you super human, you're just like everyone else. It therfore isn't of consequence wether or not I'm a parent. I don't need to have a child, in order to share the same society you do, or has that changed?

Cause poor little Kyla never has felt embarressed in her life. "Boo-hoo, why isn't everyone treating me like a precious little princess. Don't people see how beautiful I am? Can't they see I deserve to be treated like a queen!"

Perhaps this is karmic revenge, for all the times she's treated less than beautiful women like dirt, cause she's felt she's better than them. Oh, and don't tell me I'm presuming that she has. Only someone so manipulative as to go on TV and demand an apology from an airline, and then sue on second thought. Must've have learned how to be that manipulative from being in one of those snobby cliques in high school.

03/06 Etiquette Dilemmas

Quote From: jesi030

A friend and I went on a trip to our local Wal-Mart and we took with us our boys.  At the check out we proceeded to cash out our items at the self check and Nate, my oldest, kept grabbing things from the isle, as children do.  I perodically stopped and correscted the problem.  This employee was watching from nearby.  Nate grabbed another item and this lady walked over grabbed him by his arms and forced him in the sitting position in the cart.  If that wasn't enough she leaned in and threatened him with a witchlike face.  HE WAS ONLY THREE!  SHe scared him to death.  I was shocked and completely in awe of what to do.  How do you deal with a situation like that without being confrontational and making a scene?  We didn't kow what to do, but we went to the customer service counter and told them the event, and they acted completely neutral, and calmly said they would talk to her.  I never checked on it again, but I felt very wierd, was I being irraltional, or is someone, esspecially and stranger, accpetable to do something like this?

You want to know what to do? Really, are you sure?

Keep your kid from pulling things off the shelf.

Your child was a victim of your inabliity to discipline them. It's not the woman's fault, she shouldn't have waited for your darling to trash them entire store because you didn't want to tell him to stop.
