Eddie Compass

Quote From: ticker05

Thanks, Dr. Phil. You told a story today that really needed to be told! One year later Eddie Compass is STILL the face of true heroism in New Orleans. I hope he plans to unseat the mayor in the next election. New Orleans is going to need it if they are to survive!!
Eddie is a what America is all about.  As the truths start to trickle out of New Orleans people like Eddie should be standing tall.  News reports showing Nagin wearing Nautica tee shirts while the city drowns and $500 suits at the 1 year anniversary while the city still suffers put the frosting on the cake.

02/23 Adoptions Scams, Part 2

Quote From: mediadiva

Obviously everyone was suffering, including and perhaps especially Melissa.  Some interpreted her stony face as expressionless, but I felt she was barely holding herself  together.  She seemed to be filled with fear, anxiety and completely bewildered about how to do what was expected of her - namely, expose herself to the wrath of her enraged victims.   I found myself asking what would cause Melissa to be so needy, so unable to empathize with others, that she would seek out attention in such a emotionally vulnerable arena such as an adoption scam?    And why are people so eager to dole out punishment, rather than work, really work  through to a solution that could help everyone grow and become better people?

I'm left wondering why Melissa just doesn't deliver on her promises:  become a surrogate - twice - once for each of the victims who still want children. Within a couple of years the victims would have their kids, Melissa would have made restitution, and hopefully, all would have learned a thing or two about the Law of Compassion, instead of relying on a penal system that does little to improve or enlighten anyone.

why would anyone want this woman to be a surrogote to their child.  Obviously she is sick.  Those are genes we do not need to pass to anothe person.

What?

You kept us in front of the tv for two days wondering what makes this guy tick and then you passed over the 'you kown and I know' what happened to make you this way.  Come on.....if there is a reason this guy is worth it why didn't you explain?  He was right---you did give him a lot of chance to convince us but he must have some bad stuff that kept holding him back.  We only got part of this story!

02/15 Living on a Prayer

Quote From: dawneen

How are they purchasing groceries and clothes? The Picture that is displayed shows them very well dressed. How can parents not work and support their family? Are they living on an inheritance?

Exactly!!!  How did the parents know to give the exact amount $7???? to purchase a van and other items if someone had now asked them for the money?  I have a college degree with honors and was out of work for two years---  I sure sent out more than 5 resumes to Pet Shops -- in fact I sure sent out more than 5 resumes per day.  I hope someone from the child protective services steps in and forces these parents to step up or place those kids in homes where someone can help them.  It was APPALLING for the wife to sit  there at the end of the show rubbing his neck like a wounded animal while her children are being forced to live in a third-world country under our flag!

Grandpa?????

I am astounded that Grandpa is still on the loose!  What happened to Dr. Phil calling in the authorities to 'protect those children'?  Grandma should be brought up on charges also for allowing this to go on ---if she could convince anyone she never knew about this she sure does now.....she is an accomplice==== by sitting there looking stupid she is also guilty --- why isn't she calling the cops?

MORE IMPORTANT---this woman swears her father has abused her for how many years and yet she allowed her only child to be left in their care?   What is wrong with her?  She should be charged with indangerment of a child also.

I think the entire senerio smacks of money---it was easier for everyone to allow Grandpa to continue so no one had to get a job that suported themselves or lost their free babysitter while they ran around.

I only feel sorry for the boy who will have a miserable life because of this family.
