Wrong show

No offense to Dr. Phil, but a one-hour show isn't going to cover it for poor Isabella.  They needed to talk to the Supernanny.  They need an in-house intervention.  This is something Dr. Phil really shouldn't have to waste his time with.  They need to do something; this child will be a danger to the child they're expecting.  My advice:  call Jo!

I'm trying not to be one-sided so far...

...but this lady is doing some VERY STUPID STUFF!  She acts like she's going for a resort vacation instead of trying to save her marriage!  She IS having an affair; who is she fooling?  He has every right to distrust her.  I don't want to take his part, because he has screwed up.  But if I was her husband (and I'm a woman) I'd seriously consider taking her over my knee myself!

Okay, I'm now officially confused

These people are both nuts.  No offense, but now I don't have any sympathy for EITHER of them.  I only have sympathy for those poor children.  The husband is obsessive and the wife is a world-class bullcrap artist.  Those poor kids!

Catherine is SOOOO full of it!

Don't believe a single word that comes out of this "sweet, Christian, southern" woman's mouth.  This lady is my ex-mother-in-law through and through!  She had everybody believing she was a nice, wonderful human being; a year before I left her son she tried to kick me in the stomach and cause me to miscarry my daughter.  All because we said something she didn't agree with, and it was so minor I don't even remember what it was!  Catherine is not a sweet lady; I could see venom and hate seeping through every pore.  She just takes advantage of her "little old lady" facade to make people go "Aww, poor thing."  She's so full of it, if you watch her leave she'll leave brown footprints.  I ain't buying it.

Here's an idea Patti....GROW UP!

I had you as a mother-in-law five years ago.  Thank the good Lord above I got rid of the likes of you.  My ex mother-in-law made fun of me from the first day she met me.  I wasn't good enough for her precious son, and she even went as far as to question the paternity of one of my daughters.  Stupid me, I actually stayed in this marriage with this pathetic woman and her even more pathetic son for five years before I got out.  At least I learned, but it took this woman trying to kick me in the stomach and kill the "illegitimate" child I was carrying (in case you needed to know, the child was NOT illegitimate.  Just another delusion in this sick woman's mind.)  Her son did nothing to protect me or his child.  That was enough for me to decide.

YOU are the problem.  You need psychological help; a professional can snap you out of your obsession with your son.  Your son is also the problem.  He should have cut off ALL contact with you ages ago.  He is so very mamby-pamby about this whole thing it sickens me.  In short, you really need to grow up and let your children make their own decisions....and their own mistakes.  I don't blame his wife for one moment for lashing out at you.  You're lucky; down here in the South, a lot of meddling mother-in-laws get their fannies kicked for doing what you do.  Try acting your age for once, will ya?

And by the way, for the poor belittled wife, you might want to consider looking for better options.  I met the man of my dreams right after the divorce, and his mother treats me so good sometimes I have to pinch myself I can't believe my good fortune!  As for the ex mil?  Her son got remarried and.......wait for it......she can't stand the new wife.  Go figure!

All that stuff?!?

And all they could put on the eBay site was 40 items?  I sure hope that stupid TV made its way back to the Rent-A-Center.  I don't see any signs of "progress" if Carlena is only required to sell less than a tenth of her stuff.  Makes no sense to me.  A clean sweep was the best thing for such a spoiled child like her.  Deprivation would put her on the right course, believe me.

The line that struck me so far

B was talking to the camera about Gary.  She said he was the "racist".  It struck me as funny, because she doesn't realize she is a racist as well.  Each person doesn't realize their own prejudice.  The anti fat girl thinks she is right and everyone else is wrong.  The obese guy thinks all skinny people are conceited jerks.  The lesbian thinks all heterosexuals are mindless breeders.  The homophobe believes lesbians are sickening.  It's ALL prejudice; but not to the person who holds these beliefs.

Another thing B. said was all life began in Africa.  I don't believe that.  I don't buy into the theory of evolution; does that make me an ignorant racist?  Dr. Phil seems to think so.  He agrees with B.  B. said something that sounded smart; that makes her right?  Racism is sometimes misconstrued.  For example, just because I don't believe that ANY human being came from an inferior monkey-type being doesn't make me ignorant or a racist.  I know people who believe that only African Americans came from a monkey race, and I thinks that's just stupid.  So technically B. was agreeing with all the white racists I've ever come into contact with.  People have made so much of the whole politically correct debate now people have to tread on eggshells just to keep from being called prejudiced.  Personally, I'm tired of it.  You're entitled to your beliefs and opinions and I'm entitled to mine.  I have been a victim of prejudice myself, but I just see these people as losers who have esteem issues and take it out on those who differ from them.  Your color means nothing to me.  The way you treat me speaks volumes.  It ain't color or physical appearance, it's the condition of your heart that makes you good or bad.

I feel for John, but...

Quote From: davism3003

I must agree.  John truly is faking it.  He is a big grown man looking for sympathy.  Well he ain't gettin it from me.

I am sure there are limitations on why he can not wash.  Maybe he can't fit in the shower; Maybe he can't reach all his important body parts. How in the world did he wash before he came to the show? Do you suppose he had someone do it for him?  Good hygiene should have been a requirement.

My husband had an aunt that was John's size.  She NEVER went a day without making sure she was clean.  Yes, it was a hard process for a woman of that size to clean properly; but she did it and she did it well.  John has no excuse for a simple routine bathing, and I have serious doubts that Dr. Phil would have put him in a house without concessions for his size in the bathroom.  John probably did have somebody helping him in the past, but it doesn't mean he can't get inventive and perform good hygiene tasks himself.  He may have to request special articles to do so, but it's possible.  Come on, John.  I'm rooting for ya, but you gotta get real here.  You can't be funky in a closed-in house.  It's not only unpleasant, it's not sanitary or healthy.

How the Shellita stole Christmas LOL

Shellita, I found it interesting how you said us Christians would be judged for celebrating Christmas.  Ever read a little book called the Bible?

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

THAT, my dear, is in the book of Matthew.  I'm not half as worried about the judgement I face because I bought my kid a Barbie this year than the judgement YOU face for judging me.  You are just a cheapskate that used a bunch of propoganda websites to back your frugal nature.  The websites you are looking on are ALSO the ones that showed a bunch of kids in a blurry photo worshipping Satan because they read Harry Potter, and that was proven to be a HOAX provided to these "well-meaning Christians" BY Harry Potter fans to make zealot Christians look stupid because they thought Harry Potter was a Satanist guidebook.

So, pardon me if I'm not a jerk like you.  I'll let my kids have the magic of Christmas for a little while longer.  I'll let my kids dress as princesses and trick or treat in our neighborhoods.  I'll let the kids look for plastic eggs in my mother's front yard.  I'll give my husband a big box of chocolates in a cardboard box.  And I WON'T worry about you being a world-class hypocrite by slamming your relatives and their beliefs, all the while waiting for your handout.  You are a real piece of work.

Sanjay's an idiot, but...

...the dude is 40 years old.  He signed up to find a girl just like Jacqueline.  He knew what he was getting into, he knows the girl came looking for pampering and spoiling.  If he wants to do something this stupid, let him go right ahead.  In five years, when she has cheated with the pool boy and the baby comes out looking just like him,  and she STILL gets the house, the cars and half his bank account, it will be a hard lesson learned.  Men like this who go into their midlife crisis full throttle should know better and deserve every alimony payment they have to dish out to support their little girl ex wives.  Maybe when he's working just to pay the attorneys, he'll snap out of it.
