Exercise was/is not my favorite...WLCKim

Hi, my name is Kim and I was on the orginal Weight Loss Challege with Dr. Phil! I lost 65 pounds while on the program and still live by the keys (well, most of them!) I want to wish all of the new winners success in changing their lives and being healthy.  I don't want to single out the people being supervised by the Dr. Phil team because they have a very strong support group. You people at home doing the challenge will need a team of your own to keep your motivation and stay on track. Write on the message boards, find a friend at your gym and meet regularly, find a personal trainer and by all means, CLEAN OUT YOUR HOUSE AND GET RID OF THE JUNK! That key makes the most sense to me and really works....you can't eat what is not there!

I am not going to lie to you all, I have put some weight back on but I can honestly say that I know how to get it off again and this program works when and ONLY when you make it a life style change. I will be working with you all to get about 20 pounds off again. I know what I did wrong and I have no one to blame but me for not working out! Anyone who was part of my message boards in the past knows I simply hate working out....never found it exciting like others did BUT, the fact is that it is KEY to getting fit and staying fit. It's not an option if you want to lose and keep the weight off.

So, everyone....HIt the gym, clean out your fridge and closets and get ready to start feeling and looking better!  I have some wonderful memories of the Dr. Phil crew along with the other challengers....give it all you have because this opportunity does not come everyday!

I think you were still posting when I just started lurking around the board.

My name is Anita and I also lost 65 pounds with the challenge.  I've put half of it back on, but it is to all that I learned that I drew a line in the sand at that.  I really meant it when I said "never again" to 290!!

I agree with you so much--hit the gym, clean out the kitchen, and follow the keys.  It all sounds so easy, but we know that it is not so simplistic. f We really have to move and we have to work those keys.

Kim, I remember you because you were the only other one that never could say they loved going to the gym.  I still go, but I need to boop up the frequency of my trips.  My great trainer got married and moved away and no one is there to really motivate me now.  She was great and did rehab therapy, so I was confident that she wouldn't damaga me more than I was.  But I never felt that burn that others talk about.

I'll never stop my IE as what I do love is the feeling of being able to keep moving without so much pain.  With so much arthritis, I really stiffen up when I don't work out.  I tell it first in my arms and my back--I have a back injury from decades ago and it lets me know when I need to move.

Working is not an option is you want to be more mobile and active as you age either.

Got to move,

Hope to hear more from you.

Hugs,

Anita

Hi Vickib,

I read your message and you had a typeo on the word goal and it turned out to be Goat instead,  well that just struck me so funny, I have not laughed in a long time, and I'm not making fun of you, really, its just

that all I could picture is this 50 lb. goat and the more I thought about it the more I laughed.  wouldn't it

be easy for us if it was that easy...just get rid of the goat...I hope I didn't offend you, I really took it as a funny "bloop"  Please write me and lets be buddies, I need someone to support my journey, I just started and I have a long way to go.   Jeanne

I don't blame you for laughing...it was funny!  E-mail me any time C21kimmy@aol.com.

LOL

Kim
