Hello Friends - Earlier today I logged in on Joan's computer from her beautiful home. Joan, Elsie and I had a great visit. We had lunch together at Cheddars. Joan and Elsie look so good.

I haven't read the boards for almost 2 months, if I remember correctly. So I really feel at a loss as to what is going on in each of your lives.I will try to do better. I took some pictures today. I will try to get them on our WLC pages as soon as I can. Doubt if it will be this evening, however. I will let you know when.

I haven't been swimming for a couple months due to health challenges. I had five teeth extracted recently. We are trying desperately to get them healed so I can go ahead with my knee surgery. Oral surgeon attributes all this to my compromised immune system. I am believing that 2006 and offer better health than 2005.

I may get to go see my daughter, grandkids and family in Houston TX for Thanksgiving. Her in-laws are going but they need to drive only in daylight. They will leave 5 days after my knee surgery. Doctor said I could go if I get out and stretch and walk every 1 1/2 hours. Well a normal trip takes 12 hours. They do not want to drive in Houston after dark. So I don't know if I can convince them to take me anyway.

As Joan pointed out if I just walked around the car perhaps every 2 hours it probably would only take a minute each time and may only equal 5 minutes total delay. Even if it was 10 minutes total delay, it should be doable. Hope I can convince them of this. I haven't been to Houston for close to 3 years. My grandson, Isaiah, continually asks me to come. Also I will have a birthday while there and get to be there for Thanksgiving if they allow me to ride along.

This time (November 17th) will be outpatient surgery. I have a torn maniscus in two places. Should only take a couple hours. Doctor said I should be able to put some weight on it and use my platform walker and not need my wheelchair this time. Most people would use crutches, but because of my hands I have to use the walker where I put the weight on my arms instead.

Well enough about me. How are all of you? Can't help but wonder what I have missed.

Haven't weighed in a long time so don't know what to report there. Instead I have been concentrating on getting on top of these physical challenges and not adding any additional stress. Also since end of September I have been on a liquid and soft diet due to the oral surgery. Starting to eat some solid foods now. Just can't have anything crunchy for some time to come.

Again, have a great weekend. Stay safe and stay well.

Hugs,
Sherry (sharonx2)
