What area is that?

Quote From: aubija2

I am from the same area this teacher is from.  I do not think she should have lost her job.  She made a mistake when she was younger and changed.  I know it would cause a disturbance within the school, but I think she could have been transferred or something....not fired and condimed for her past.   I think what made it worse than it would have been in other areas is because we live in the "Bible Belt".  I feel sorry for her.  I wish her luck.  With all the publicity this situation has stirred up, I'm sure she is having a rough time.
I live in the Bible Belt too (NC) and I tell you the level of rigidity and judemental attitudes never ceases to amaze me.  I have not seen the show, but whatever it was that she did or didn't do, if she has turned her life around and to quote the Bible "sinned no more"...what do people want from her?  Or is there some sort of vicarious pleasure in the power to ruin someone?

12/12 Convince Me!

I won't be one viewing this show bum rush.

But, the idea of such grossness doesn't surprise me.  Sadly our culture, as it continues to rapidly decline, will continue to show (and unfortunately it will get worst), this type of "entertainment".   Reminds me of the decline and fall of the Roman Empire and others.

I think programs like this masquerade as "entertainment" and there will always be voyeuers to this, there is some part of this culture that does not want to be civilized.  That things like this are condone and given airtime indicate that far too many  do not want to have good lives and derives a sick pleasure out of causing harm to another human being.  And then profit from it.

Television is a powerful instructment and handled well can be a vehicle for good.  But as we are seeing money rules it all and it is being used, television, to give to us up close and personal, how truly sick and depraved we are becoming.  I don't care how much we want to pretty it up, it is happening from :Girls gone Wild" to "Bum Rush" this is what we are presenting to the world.

So when will the next ambitous person decide in harming you before we speak up.  All we need is a sick person to "assume" you are homeless when you may have done something as simple as wore your work clothing or gardening clothing and ran down to the local Home Depot and harm you?

Ty knew exactly what he's doing.

He is trying to manipulate and create a buzz.

Caring for the homeless or for that matter, you, me, the general public?  What he cares for is making the dollars by any means necessary.  I am so glad Dr. Phil did not have him on the show, but I use his own words "What were you thinking?'"

There are so many wonderful, humorous, ordinary people doing extraordinary things that no time needs to be made on something so crass, tacky and exploitive.

Him as well as the producers of "Girls gone Wild" and people of that ilk needs to be jailed or sentence to work in the very area that they milk and cause harm tot he very people they exploit. But I'm afraid even then they wouldn't get it.
