I don't know how much this will help or not, but here goes. I'm having a real hard time with the Dr. Pepper thing, and I am not eating at all the way I should anymore. I've hit a major wall with weightloss, and have been using a bunch of excuses. I also need to quit smoking, as I have started to smoke a lot more than I used to, not to mention that it would just be better for me all around if I quit. So, here's what I am planning to do over a three day period this week. I'll probably start Wed, as I have to go to the grocery store first:
#1: For a three day period ONLY WATER to drink, fresh fruits and veggies and maybe some healthy nuts for protein to eat. What I am hoping is that this three day period of nothing but water and healthy fruits and veggies will help my body 'detox' a bit and help to break a cycle.
#2: At the same time, I am going to put down the cigarettes. Just quit.
Now, my husband is on vacation this week, and so he'll be home to help with the accountability and support this is going to take. He says he's in it for the long haul and is prepared for the 'grouchiness' that will come with my giving up so much at one time.
What I am wanting to know is what do y'all think? I mean, does this seem like a good way to 'detox' the body? Is three days enough? Or should I go a whole week? Any advice would be really appreciated.
