Outrage!

Dr. Phil,

I live in Las Vegas, and from the moment this story broke, until he was arrested, every moment was spent looking over my shoulder.

I know that Chester the molester, is a sick, sick man... as are others who prey on our most innocent treasures.  But, I think that when caught, the sentences should be much harsher, like they are for shooting a police officer.

I'm not sure if they can be helped, because as you say, you have to step up to the plate, and admit that you have a problem... and like most sociopaths, they just don't 'feel' empathy or admit guilt for what they have done to their victims.

They should be sentenced to hard labor, instead of sitting in a cell, and made to pay back to society, some of what their imprisionment costs...  surely, there must be some kind of work that they can do, to help make them think twice about molesting again!  Otherwise, their lives are useless, and they should be put to death for such a sick crime!!!

Not sure...

I watched both programs, and I must say that I feel badly for all parties involved in this horrible

mess...

I agree with Dr. Phil, that for someone who is falsly accused, she seemed so emotionally removed

from the case, focusing instead on minor differences/details of the accusers testimony.

I myself was involved in a terrible scandal when I was a teen, and recall vividly, every detail of

my story!

I think that while trying to protect their client, her lawyers are being overly cautious, at the expense

of the truth!

If she has nothing to hide, then why not take a lie detector test?

I agree that she had trouble being on stage with the boy, and looking him in the eye...

He on the other hand, had no trouble looking at her, and her husband... and although his test

showed some non-truth, at least he was willing to take one.

I think that the notes with only letters, were very inappropriate, as were the calls!  If either of my

children's teachers had done something similar...  I would have gone to the principal, school

board, and the police!!! Shame on her!

I also agree that the fact that she married her teacher... REALLY should have sent out a warning

to the school board... and just might have something to do with this whole scandal...

Either way, I would suggest therapy for this young woman!

Get real people!

Dr. Phil,

I had NO experience on raising children, as do most parents when it's thrust upon them...

wanted or not.

That didn't stop me from reading all I could about pregnancy, child raising and marriage...

PRE-COMPUTERS!

I quickly learned that drinking while pregnant, was a MAJOR risk the my child's health, as was

smoking and GOD FORBID--- drug use!!!  We were even told that certain foods could cause a

risk to the child's developing an allergy to it.  Needless to say, those were probably the healthiest

months of our lives... spent getting ready for the miracle about to be bestowed on us.

We had no money, to speak of... NO nannies, no maids... nobody but our parents, who helped

out for a few days after the birth.

WE DID IT ON OUR OWN!

Sure, some women get PPD...  you go to the doctor, tell him how your feeling, and ask for help!

And, if you are too ill to get the help, your mate or family makes sure you follow thru...

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to raise a child... it takes some common sense, some education,

and LOTS OF LOVE!

Something that Miss Spears seem to have none of, sadly...

My advice is that she get therapy, get off her ass and GROW UP!!!

She was adult enough to make those children... now step up to the plate, and take responsibility

for them!

If she is unable to do so, then they are better off without her in their lives... PERIOD!

Monsters!

If the mother had been molested by her father when she was young... and her own mother didn't do anything to help her... and now she "suspects" that her own son has been molested by this same monster? This poor boy is acting out... What else could you expect him to do???

Children don't just decide to begin acting out... it is a response to the horror that they were made to endure, and a cry for help!!!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this boy needs help, understanding and love!!!

Does everyone have to stick their head in the sand, until he does something tragic to someone else, or he's made to suffer in silence for several more years, and ruined his life in the meantime???

What is his mother thinking???  What's wrong with his teacher and the school??? Aren't they trained to spot child abuse and get help for the victim???

It's was unknown years ago, but in this day and time, EVERYONE knows about child abuse... and they shouldn't have/raise/teach if they can't protect our precious little ones!

I blame the grandmother for not protecting her daughter, the daughter for not speaking out sooner and getting help for herself... BEFORE she brought an innocent child into her family... they ALL need HELP!!!
