Confused.

My name is Amanda, and I'm 16 years old. I've been wondering about my eatting habits and people think I have an eatting disorder. I'm overly obessessed with calories and weight gain. I guess I'm obessessed due to my family calling me fat and kids teasing me in school. I'm 5'6 and I went from 163 to 156. I have an intese fear of gaining weight and I'm making goals to eat less and less each day. I doubt this is normal or healthy.

Is this normal or what?

- A.

04/26 "You're Not Hot Enough"

Wow,

After watching pieces of this show (which were constantly interrupted by tornado crap), I was in a shellshock.

First off, some of these men have NO room to talk about ANYONE. I mean look at them, are they super models? No. One husband was complaining about his wife's legs being fat ... did you see the stomach on him? Hes not skinny either! And that woman is gorgeous. We all have flaws.

If you're married, its because you love the woman for who they are, and how they look, even if they were 300lbs or 90lbs.

I really feel that these women should have packed up and left. I mean, if my husband pointed out models in a Victoria's Seceret catalog and stated he wished I would look like that, I'd rip the catalog apart, and leave. Thats just horrid

08/03 Teen Wake-Up Calls

Ugh. What is it with people cutting? I mean honestly, I think half the people do it out of attention. True story. This girl featured on this show seems like one of them. Why must people "cut" themselves. Their lives aren't bad, this girl has a great mother who obviously cares about her, doesn't she realise how lucky she is? I just laugh at people like this. Its nothing but a trend. I mean, look, she does it on her wrists, people WILL see that. Grr. So annoying!

I too was a cutter for several years, not because I had depression, it was because I had anger problems. Insted of beating the crap out of someone, I took it out on myself. Though, abused and hurt, I have a good life. I have a home, clothes, food, a computer, etc. This girl has that too and I honestly doubt she's abused by her mother. I think she needs to suck it up and deal. I've seen serious cutters at the hospital (whom abused and left behind) I was at, they didn't go cut their wrists and show it off to the world, they did it elsewhere and hid it. *Sigh*

I've seen many teens my age going around cutting their wrists, its a trend now-days. People hear about someone cutting, get in a bad mood and try it, and then share it! Its a sick cycle! It makes me sick because cutting is serious and people think its the "in" thing to handle their "pain".

People, IMO, need to grow up and learn to suck it up. The world isn't a nice place, and never will be. Theres a reality check right there.

Quote From: loveboduke

well  if  they grew up in a christian home and   had christian values!  also  go to church. they would have less teens getting in to junk.

Christianity doesn't mean perfection.

I think people should be exposed to the bad "junk" in this world. The world isn't a nice place, and it sure isn't a Christian place either. Its called learning do deal with it and not let it affect a person. Thats what I feel should be taught. I think teens should be shown whats actually going on and what not and taught about it and how it affects someone. Let them screw up, people need to learn from their mistakes!

Church also doesn't mean teens will be "better". I go to church often. But I'm still exposed to a lot of bad things, like sex, drugs, etc.
