I am glad you got the SAD information and I hope helps. Did you ask doctor about SAD as sounds like from what I read that if he gives you a prescription for that light box or visor it is covered by insurance. What good movies have you seen recenlty? March, April, May, first half June, Second half September, October and November are usually the best months here in Dallas, Texas. Second half of June till second half of September we have red ozone alert days. December and January and sometimes February we have yo yo weather of nice one day and sleet and rain the next so I have to get used to cold all over again each time. For me SAD occurs too due to red ozone alert days which prevents me from going on my daily walks outside. Nice to see you again. SEA

Hi yesyoucan!  I've been coming on late at night.   Thought I should get on in the morning when everyone else is awake.   Although I saw some posts during the night.  I must not be the only night owl here.
I think the holidays make my depression worse too.  I'm not really close to anyone in my family except my parents.  Seems like everyone else in my family doesn't want anything to do with anyone.  And seems like when we all do get together, everyone is faking that we like each other.  I dunno.  I prefer to surround myself with friends instead.  But everyone is getting married and moving!
The light box would be a good idea but I don't have insurance.  I'm finishing up my bachlors and so I work part-time. (Too hard for me to work full time).  And the place I work I would  have to work 35 hours or more to get health insurance. ( I work only 15 hours a week).  Healthcare really sucks.  But I'm sure you know that already.  I have to pay for me meds out of pocket.  My therapist does give me free samples to help me out till I graduate.   That's the best I can do till graduation and have some money.
Good movies I've seen.........Meet the Kranks, Yours, Mine and Ours (got bad reviews but I thought it was hilarious), and Mrs. Congeniality 2.  Love comedies!   Have you seen anything lately?
Hmmmm Texas.....I would love to move south somewhere.  I'm in Nebraska.  And quite bored of it!  My bf and I would like to move somewhere after we both graduate.   Nebraska is nice, but we both are ready to try another place.
Hope you have a good day and chat with you again soon.
 <<Hugs>>
Michele

Michele hi,

i too was diagnosed wrong. but the doctor didnt really want to diagnose me with bi polar but gave hints too it. i was on every anti depressent you can think of. then i went on a high and could do anything and felt very good, went on spending sprees and very over confident. then one nite i cut myself and had some alchol to ease the pain i was feeling. that was not the bi polar as i realize now. but anyway my doctor sent me to see a psyschiatrist. best thing they could of done she asked me lots of questions and looked at my previous medical records. Diagnosed me with bi polar, put me on lithiam and that made me very sick. but i am highly sensitive to meds. then she put me on something else and it leveled out the highs and had to have an anti depressant for the depression. the doctors can give you samples of meds and they can get you in contact with companies that give it out for free or at a real low cost. as to the therapy if you cant get to all of them dont. go to one a wk or every two weeks. what ever you can do. you know your limitations. its is a very expensive disease to have. but if you can get thru the inial part of it you will be fine. Also find health care providers that do it on a sliding scale. that helps alot. Been there done that. sorry you are having such a hard time.

email me at rex06@netzero.com

I've been on many different depression meds too.  And have gotten sick.
I'll look into trying to get meds for free from a company.  Someone else told me to try that too.  That would really help!  Paying $180 a month for one medication is rediculous!
Chat with you later!

Hi Michele how are you?I am not sure if i talked to you before .What are you studying in school i see you have a test coming up what is it if its to hard i'm afraid i won't be much help.LOL Is Nebraska a big place.I don't know if your in college or what but i wish you well with your studies.Have a great snack.LOL cathy
The town I live in Nebraska is fairly big.  But Nebraska doesn't have much here.   Corn fields!  We have that!  Would love to move after graduation.  Any suggestions?
My major is Business with focus in Management.  Minor in Psychology.  Have a test tomorrow in a Psych course.  Called psychology of Gender.  I didn't really like this course much but needed it for my minor.  I did write an 18 page paper on females and depression.  If anyone would like to read it, email me.  Has allot of good facts and stats as to why females get depressed more than males.
Anyways the teacher loves giving essays and then grades them quite hard.  So I'm a little scared.

Hi Michele. Thank you for saying you like my picture. This picture looks so much like my mother and I miss her dearly. She passed away in 2003. What is your final in? WOW! I'd love to fly to Nebraska...if y'all have snow. We are snow deprived in Dallas, Texas, usually. You may need a box of tissues since I shared that with you as no snow is :( to me anyway. When you come back let us know what you had for dinner. YUMMY. SEA
 Thats my dinner tonight.

oh yeah suisse mocha is good

Quote From: yesyoucan

Chocolates! I am a recovering chocoholic. I cannot resist chocolate covered Strawberries but I've learned some restraint. Have you tried Suisse Mocha by International coffees?
Also have gotten into Chai.  My bf is Indian and got me started on that.  Ever had that?

Ah sorry to hear about your mom.  Holidays are even harder for you then.  <<<<Hugs>>>    Which I could send you a chocolate over the internet.  :)
