Good for you getting that list - I have really saved money with the planning.  I bet you do too.  If you don't, then you were just a great shopper before you planned and made the list.  LOL! 

 

This list of positives is for us to keep up with our Right Thinking and not let that negative talk get the better of us.  Tracy started the positives list - isn't it great?!  You can add a new one daily to it if you like. 

 

Sooooo, what's for dinner?  We are having vegetable soup tonight.  It's starting to smell yummy and I'm impatiently waiting for Bob to get home!

Life sometimes is allowed to interfere with our focus.  The great part is that you recognize that early and are seeking a solution.

You did more than good - you did fantastic! 

 

Dinner sounds yummy.  Although it isn't as cold here as it is where you are, I so enjoy the soups when the weather is cooler. 

 

Our vegetable soup was yummy too.

 I was reading the first part of my Dr. Phil book (that finally came in the mail today)  and he says something about what you think of your body image. 

It's improved so much.  When I first started this group I was 175 lbs and I felt so nasty.  I didn't want to look at myself.. I didn't want anyone else to look at me.  Now being 150lbs, I feel so much more confident and open.  I don't mind going places and I walk with my head high.   

I'm not where I want to be yet but I feel back to normal and of course I feel very thin right now because I have lost a lot of weight and I'm feeling the difference in how clothes fit and how I sit and stand and.. I enjoy looking at myself exercise.. instead of doing weights and seeing fat jingling.. I see a tone muscle that is just getting stronger.  

  

So I am declaring my get-real weight... I'm a little scared about this number so I am going to go to the heavier side of my height.  I'm 4ft 10in.  I am suppose to be 100lbs.  I'm going to put down 110lb.  I don't want to be super skinny... I want to be healthy and I am more comfortable with 110.  When I get there I might lose the extra 10 lbs but we will see.

This sort of thing happens with the board on occasion and it's good to have someone make us realize what we are here for.   

 

Congratulations on your losses to date - you're doing very well.  Isn't it great what a little work on ourselves does for our self-esteem?  You are gonna just love the book.  I'm anxious to hear your thoughts as you go through the chapters!

Tracy thanks for making us aware that we were running off in the ditch as far as the purpose of this board!! There is so much positive momentum when we are using it for the purpose it was designed. Come on everybody - let's get back in the groove! 

  

For those with other problems - and I do know they affect our weight - Dr Phil has other books that could help you and a lot of info available on this sight under "Advice" on the menu up top of the page. I know I use both "Self Matters" and "Life Strategies" and I'm sure "Family First" is a must read for those with children at home.

HOWDY ALL!

It's just me!  Been busy running around doing errands all day and just now have gotten the posts read.  It looks like everyone understands the idea about the board now.  It's absolutely okay to discuss problems - just as long as we do not let that subject become all we discuss.  So, please everyone, do not feel afraid to speak up - that's not what this is all about. 

  • Shellie - you are doing great!  3 lbs is fantastic.  Just keep up what you are doing and the weight will drop.
  • Cat - I couldn't believe that no one jumped at the opportunity to tease you about your wondering why there isn't anymore of the candy you like let???  That was must too funny for me.  Take care of yourself - if you have a bad headache and need to destress, do what you need to do! 
  • Tracy - I see you did your 4 miles so I don't have to ask you to be accountable!  Go girlfriend!
  • Mary - Wow - you're back!  Welcome back!  I can't wait to hear how your trip went.  Yes, sadly our Joe has been missing for a while now.  We all hope he is okay.
  • Heather - what a great prize - when you're through will you run a bath for me too??  LOL!
  • Jeannie - no apology necessary - this sort of thing happens on the boards from time to time.
  • Tracy M - I do hope that you no longer feel uncomfortable about posting for fear that it might not be appropriate.  We can really post about anything.  We just need to be careful that it doesn't become our only subject discussed for several days. 
  • BJ - Hi friend!  It is so great to see you posting more.  I've missed you!
  • Tabitha - Wow what a bargain on that Gazelle.  Waiting to hear how you like it.
  • Barbara - hope those computer problems clear up soon - the board would not be the same without you.
  • Teresa - Glad you're back.  You know I love ya dearly.  And I miss our usual bantering when you're away.  Try as I might, you always seem to get the best of me.  One day though, I will triumph!  LOL!
