Dr. Phil:  I can relate to those people who are chronic spenders.  I use my credit card for just about anything I do because, in this day and age, it is very dangerous to carry cash, I was already robbed in a train station about 10 years ago, and did not even realize what was happening until I got home. So I have a strong fear of carrying any cash anymore. Also, I am a shopaholic.  I can't resist any good buys even if I don't need the items.  If I should have only .50 cents in my wallet, I will be sure to find something to buy, I do this until my wallet is totally empty of any cash.  My credit card I use consistently in the same fashion. The only way I control my spending is to stay in the house on my days off from work. I feel like a prisiner and I go crazy with anxiety when I do stay in the house.  In many cases, I loose my will power, and land up going out even if it's just for 2 hours, I come home feeling relieved and satisfied after I spent some money.  Please tell me how I can stop this vicious spending feelings.    Arlene from Florida

I definitely feel there is a double standard between men and women. It's ok for a man to date a woman 15-25 years younger than himself, but, o my, it's sinful for a woman to date a man much younger than her. I have been widowed for many years and have dated many men.  I have been to dances, socials, church singles activities and it's very true, these men are looking for young chicks not me or anyone else my age. They begin to make a woman feel unwanted, undesirable and unteresting. You wonder why us women are getting complexes about ourselves; you men have given it to us.  Let's get real and fair about this whole thing, if you can date younger women then, us women can date younger men. Besides, I think half of these older men can't keep up with us older women anyway, young guys seem to put older women on pedestals which is one great feeling.  So smartin up us older women and lets get started towards a new beginning.

I definitely agree with you Dr. Phil about not texting or even being on a cell phone while behind the wheel of a car.  I live in Florida and I can tell you without a doubt, that this state is the worst state for being on cell phones and even texting while driving.   Our accident count and death rate is extremely high because of this terrible habit.  Every other car you pass is on a phone.  I am very, very much set against this deadly habit.  Maybe, chances are, they won't kill themselves but, they sure will kill people in the car next to or in front of them.  We need to ban that terrible killer NOW!!
