Does age matter?

What in the heck is wrong with an older woman and younger man having a meaningful relationship?  Is it because the young man is 18?  Dr. Phil seems to think that teenagers are children instead of the young adults that they are.  I know that teenagers do stupid things, but they have the feelings of adults, such as sexual feelings and emotional feelings like love.

I am a 51 year-old woman who still remembers what it felt like to be a teenager.  And I certainly didn't feel like a child.   I had a short fling with one of my teachers in my senior year of high school and even though things didn't work out, I don't blame my teacher for it.  I was old enough to know what I was doing.   Teenagers are not little babies who don't know what they're doing.

I, myself, would not be interested in such a young man.  I've always preferred older ones.  But to each his own.  Age really shouldn't matter if two people really care about each other.

12/04 Doomed from the Start?

Did it ever occur to Dr. Phil that the wife might have been putting on an act?  All that trembling.....give me a break!

Also, I don't trust ministers who run "mega-churches".

12/06 Desperate to Be a Mom

I can't believe the selfishness of  these wives - especially the first one.   Why would you want to risk a happy marriage and risk having a husband who will only end up resenting you for something that you thnk you want?     Why is the husband always the one who's supposed to make the sacrifice?

12/06 Desperate to Be a Mom

Unless their is a health reason I can't undertsand why people would on purpose choose not to have kids. Kids are a blessing from God in my opinion. Kids put up for adoption should be sent into loving homes of people who can't have any kids.

Oh, give me a break!!   Not everyone wants children believe it or not.  I think that chldren can just suck every ounce of energy out of a person and would totally take over a person's life.  Why would anyone want that?

I have a husband who I  love with all my heart and soul and would not want  to take any time and attention away from him.  Besides, there are way too many people in this very over-crowded world.  Ever think of that?

01/09 When to Call it Quits

After watching the entire episode, I still don't understand what ismaking this bitchy wife so angry!

She needs to be locked up in some sort of eating disorder clinic and the husband should be given full custody of the kids.  She is obviously  the problem!!!

01/14 "At War with My Teen"

Quote From: auggie123

Are you kidding me?  Some of you are sympathetic to the mother!   Children are what we make them period.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that  this poor kid is just screwed up b/c of her behavior as a mother.  I have a very active 8 year old who is head strong and will test you to the limit but I have never called her a name or degraded her.  This women should not even be aloud near this poor young man.  Micheal if you read this just know that ANYONE that would be raised in that situation would have lost thier mind by now.  Hang in there kiddo.  Like I tell my daughter you words are powerful take a deep breath think how your feeling and I'm all ears.  Micheal your precious I can just tell you want to be the best you can be, and even if nobody tells you this, believe it  yourself!
I'm glad that somene else besides me sees that the mother is obviously the problem.    I felt so sorry for the kid and was so touched when Robin went up on stage to sit by him and comfort him.   The mother is looney!!

This lady has no business being a mother.  Children are a gift of God and they did not get this way overnight.  I have cried and yelled at the TV at this mother.  She is out of control.  I would guess she may be Bi-polar.???  or just evil.  Her eyes even look evil.   I pray to God this family can change.  At this late in the game, I am not sure.  Hopefully Michael can get some help and have a better life for himself now and in the future.  My prayers are with you Michael.
I so totally agree with you.  The mother has got to be either evil or mntally ill!  I feel so bad for the kid.

That lady was crazy!!!!!!!!!!  I think she could really hurt that kid.  Not that being a little jerk is excusable but come on when your raised with a Looney for a Mom what do you expect? I really hope something gives but neither of those parents see anything wrong with what they are "really" doing.  They truely believe that they've done no wrong and that this child himself has driven that family to where it is.  This kid needs to get out of there and go on with out looking back...  Sorry but those folks are hopeless.  You can see it in her eyes.
I agree with you 100%!!    The mother is looney!!

01/15 Internet Mistakes

I was terribly surprised, as well as terribly diappointed, that Dr. Phil didn't come down hard on the mother whose 17-year old daughter is drinking on a reguar basis.  Where was the Dr Phil that normally gets on parents for the behavior of their children?  Where was that Dr Phil?!

He should also have been much harder on the 17-year old, who is fast on her way to becomig an alcoholic!!!

I am starting to think that Dr. Phil is losing his toughness.  What a shame!  I miss the old Dr. Phil.

02/07 Pill Popping Twins, Part 2

Quote From: jim6008

Dr. Phil called addiction to drugs a disease. No, it is not a disease. It is a choice people make. One does not get a disease by choice, except AIDS.  Those two drug addicted sisters made the choice to take those drugs. That is called a choice not a disease.

Jim

I agree with you 100%!!    It is a choice that these girls made!!
