I don't understand why parents come onto the show if they are not going to listen to Dr. Phil or any of his other professionals' suggestions.  The last guests didn't even listen to the suggestions that Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's dad gave them!  Out of anyone else that I can think of, he would know what to do when your child performs!!  Do not criticize them, give them positive reinforcement!  Yes, I may still be a college student but I am majoring in education and every single day I have my classes, the fact that positive reinforcement helps children is pounded into my brain!  You can't keep criticizing kids everytime they do something, because he if they "want to know what they did wrong", it's going to eventually get to them and they're not going to think they're good at their talent anymore!!  If you're going to come onto the show, at least LISTEN to the professionals ... Dr. Phil wouldn't have a show of his own if he didn't know what he was talking about!  And Mr. Simpson wouldn't have both of his girls as professional singers and be their manager if he didn't know what he was doing!  Just have the decency to listen to what they have to say, because they know what they're talking about!!!!!!!

I am SO glad that Dan was able to see what his God daughter did all day when she was in the marching band.  I was in the marching band for four years when I was in high school and I know every day people would give us a hard time because we weren't "athletes" or whatever else.  I don't consider band a sport, but it is very demanding.  When compared to ALL the other sports teams at our high school, we did much MUCH better than them, placing 2nd and 3rd on the East Coast, which none of the sports teams ever did.  Also, I never once saw the football team practicing for 12 hours a day, 6 days out of the week!!  I just think it's awesome that someone was able to actually march in a band persons shoes for a day because it's not easy!  I just wish everyone that ever said anything bad about us was able to do the same as Dan because I don't think they'd ever feel that way again!!
