Quote From: brcsccWelcome to this great support board.
I see that you have the paperback book, do you also have the hard cover book, The Ultimate Weight Solution book? For me, I found that this book should be read first before you try to do the Rapid Start program. You need to take your time reading it from cover to cover. Because this program is going to be a lifestyle change, not a "diet" and one of the keys that you will learn is Key #5, the food guide, but it is in the number 5 position for a reason. You need to work on all things that relate to "why we eat" etc. before we can work on your food and exercise.
My name is Barbara, I am 51 years old, lost 40 lbs with the program and still have 100 to go. I have trouble doing the Rapid Start because I'm a diabetic, but just following the Key #5 food guide works for me. But the main thing is to remember "right thinking" key #1, for me it's what works the best, when your mind is in the proper thinking mode everything else will fall into place.
Hello Becky, how are you doing? Any word on Palkit? Did Sharon get hold of you? I let her know you were looking for her.
Blue, great seeing you here.
Hugs to all members on the board,
ttfn Love Barbara
Thank you all for your support.
Yes, Barbara, I do have the hardback copy also. I'm a hypoglycemic (low sugar) so I, too have to watch the sugar I eat. I tried Atkins and was sucessful for a while but got tired of the food. I'm sure I will be happier with a bigger variety.
Becky, I never thought about using the ball in front of my computer. That's a good idea. You don't have to worry about being the oldest anymore as I am 66. I didn't want to quit work but the arthritis was getting too bad and the job wasn't fun anymore. Now I have been laying around the house for the past eight months and that isn't good for me either!
Where are you all from? i'm here in Thornton, Colorado where we hit 12 below zero last night. The sun is coming out and we will be in the 40's by tomorrow.
Thanks again everyone for your support.
Hugs to all
Carol
