  That is not a typo.  I have thus far lost 116 and still have about 40 more I would like to get rid of but am slowly taking the last off.  Many people that I know tell me that I should not lose more but according to the Dr. Phil book I still need to take off some more.  I started out at 278.  I have swam almost daily in the summers these past two summers and do swim on into the fall and also first thing in the spring.  In the winter I walked and also got some IE by splitting firewood and doing other things around the house and yard.    I have not lost as fast as some have however I just keep slowly taking it off.  I figure there is no rush and I have also read that if one takes the pounds off too fast they are more likely to come right back so I am trying to do this more as a healthy lifestyle and let the pounds come off naturally.  I just got out of the pool after swimming for an hour.  This I did after working for 12 hours then coming home and mowing the grass until it got dark and then I swam for the hour.  I find swimming is relaxing as well as a good way to tone those muscles.  I plan to continue to swim as often as possible for the rest of my life if I can.  When one finds an activity they enjoy I feel they should continue it and I enjoy swimming.  My biggest problem is sometimes I do not get my portions small like I should but I continue to try and learn    I feel that I will be able to get these last pounds off eventially it may be next year but that is OK as I plan to stay on this eating and exercising for the rest of my life.  Got to go.  Take care.           Alice
Alice! Congratulations on losing 116 pounds so far!  You have been so successful.   It is inspiring to me to hear that you have done it mostly by swimming.    I also plan to continue to swim for the rest of my life! :) Take care! :) Brenda

I'm so dreading the boys going back to school.  I love having them home so much and the "no routine" schedule we have.  Our lives are SO hectic when school rolls around, so I just totally enjoy these low key days.  I treasure every one of them. 

  

How's the exercise?  The eating?  Mine hasn't been stellar.  But my IE is rolling right along, so that is keeping me in check.

Hi Linda! How are you?  It looks like the message board is picking up again--that is good.  I've been doing well with my exercise, went swimming for an hour on Monday and have been walking around stores on days that I'm not swimming.  I am looking forward to the new season of Dr. Phil ! Dr. Phil and Robin are the best!   I love "Ask Dr. Phil and Robin" shows.  Take care! :) Bren

I swam today for 30 min. for a total of swimming 2 times this week and I've been also walking around stores trying to get a lot of exercise this summer.  Take care! :) Bren
