Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone!  I didn't swim today because we had storms coming in.  I've been reading Keys 2 and 3.  The main thing I got out of Key 2 this time is the importance of forgiveness.  After reading Key 3, I was really inspired to shop for healthier foods.  So, today, I went grocery shopping and bought more fruits and vegetables than I usually do.  I plan to snack on things like carrots and grapes sometimes instead of pretzels.  I also bought other healthy foods and didn't buy anything that is not "no-fail environment" food for me.  Thanks for asking how I am doing and for the encouragement. Hi Everyone!  In addtion to the swimming, I am rereading the Ultimate Weight Solution book and doing the written exercises again.  I also went grocery shopping today and bought more fruits and vegetables and foods for a "No Fail Environment."  I am writing down what I eat everyday and how much I exercise in a journal.  Thanks for asking and for the encouragement! Hello Connie, It is great that you are learning some basic strokes for swimming! :)  Yes, the pool that I swim in is indoors and is heated.  It is usually about 83 or 84 degrees.  Take care! :) Bren

Linda and Brenda, Hello, You asked how my weekend was spent.  It was fun.  I spent time this weekend with my parents.  I went shopping with my mom.  I played scrabble with both my mom and my dad--we play almost every weekend--it's fun!   Today, we went out to a modern Chinese food restaurant and I had a sweet and sour tofu dish and brown rice--it was yummy!  Take care everyone! :) Bren

Hi Jackie!  I'm still here.  I had a good weekend last weekend--I spent time with my parents.  I went shopping with my mom.  I played scrabble with my mom and my dad.  We went to Pei Wei's, a modern Chinese restuarant. Niki, Teresa, Barbara,Karen, Bren, and all others who are working so hard.  We will get to our goals.  We must keep following the plan but it does work.   I want to share something with you all.  This morning I decided to get on the scale a little early but wanted to see if I had gotten rid of the water weight and guess what.  I am down another 3 pounds.  This means  I have gotten rid of all the weight I had gained plus another 2 pounds.  I am very happy and now more motivated to keep on with the plan.  It does work.  At times we all get impatient but if we do our IE and eat properly the weight does come off.

Teresa, Good for you for the exercising and working on the Right Thinking.  I am also working on Right Thinking.  I do journaling for the Right Thinking--making columns like they do in the book--that is my suggestion.  Also, writing down and using positive affirmations like Niki suggested.  We can do it! :) Take care! :) Bren
