MRSA
I had MRSA several years ago. I have NO IDEA where I got it from. It started out as a pimple on my chin. The pimple swelled up. My whole chin was swollen. I went to the ER because it was the weekend. They had to cut open my chin a little bit to get all the pus out. They couldn't numb the area because of the swelling. The doc says numbing it would not be effective. They gave me morphine. I had a bad reaction to the morphine. and it did nothing for me. So, they made a small slit in my chin and pushed and pushed until most of the pus was out. It hurt like HELL!!!!! They packed it and covered it and sent me home. Told me to come back in 2 days for a follow up. Oh and they gave me antibiotics. I woke up the next day and the packing was so saturated with pus that it came out. Back to the ER we went. Oh and by the way, they hadn't cultured the pus for staph the 1st time I went. They tested my blood sugar on the 2nd time I went back. Anyway, It was on the 3rd time I went back that they cultured it. This was a Sunday. It was not until Wednesday that they found out I had MRSA. They started me on the strongest antibiotic there was. I can't remember the name of it. It did strange things to my body but I had no choice but to take it all. It cleared up just fine with the antibiotic. I get SO scared now when i have a sore or pimple. I still til this day have no idea where I got it from. No one else in my house got it. Just too weird.
