facts...

Quote From: vwwife21

I don't know what to say or do about this. I really want children (we have been married 6 years) but i love my job and don't want to give it up either. Suggestions?
If your husband thinks you will have a special needs child, give him the facts! Unless it is in your family or you are over 35, there is only the slightest chance that you will give birth to one. If it is in your family or his family history, let him know that although it would be tough at times, special needs children are extremely precious and can mature to lead very independent lives. Research it and give him the facts! Men seem to do better with cold, hard facts rather than just feelings! Hope it works out for you! Children are such a blessing whether they are special needs or not!

I understand why people wanted children in the old days, but why now? Yes, I'm callow, but it'd be interesting to know what others' opinions on the matter are - maybe I'm missing something big here.

why not?

uh....

ARE THEY SERIOUS?!! Those women and their husband are sexually abusing those kids! This is rediculous! There is definitely a time and place for sex education! Notice that kids in school aren't taught Sex Ed until highschool! That is obviously for a reason! Children's brains aren't equipped to handle that kind of exposure! By overexposing them to sex, they will more than likely have extreme issues with it. So many people are put in jail and labled as sex offenders for even watching porn with a child in the room! I can't believe Dr Phil didn't get those kids taken away from them! They are almost telling their kids it's OKAY to turn into sexual abusers themselves! Do they WANT their kids to be rapists, molestors, or abusers?! I can't believe this...

excuse meee...

Quote From: bmwnurse

I get bothered by the crowding also.  It's a personal space things, not just a grocery store thing.  People must think that standing really close to someone in a line will make it move faster and will let the person in front of them know that they need to hurry up!  That just backfires...lol.  Like when someone tails me on the road, I slow down on purpose.  So if someone in live is standing to close I take me dear sweet time.  I know...a little passive agressive, but who wants to get into a shouting match in the store because someone is standing to close to them?
I totally agree!!! I don't understand why people feel the need to stand in your bubble to try to make you move faster! I've had people stand so close that some part of their body actually touches mine! When that happens I usually turn around and say, "Excuse me?" If they aren't touching me but are extremely close, I usually just turn and look at them like they're in my space! It may be a little rude, but I think that people these days have no sense of personal space!

The fun stuff!

Has anyone else gone through this? I know I'm not alone.....

I am 33 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing some symptoms that suggest that I will go into labor sometime in the next 4 weeks! A little scary because I know the complications that can come with a baby born early! I've been nesting like crazy....cleaning everything over and over even if it's clean already, making sure everything in the nursery is in exactly the right place, and folding and refolding the baby's clothes over and over. lol! I feel like I'm going crazy! My husband thinks it's cute and funny! It's almost like I'm a robot controlled by something or someone else besides me! Another symptom is that the baby engaged into my pelvis last week which is making me waddle like crazy! That also means that I'm not out of breath all the time and my belly is a lot lower now. I can eat more now but I have to pee so much more at the same time! I have increased discharge but no "bloddy show" yet. Anyways, those are the symptoms I have right now. My husband and I are attending a childbirth class and we find it a little wierd that NO ONE else in our group of 30 people are experiencing any of those symptoms yet! A lot of the women in my class are a little further along than I am too!

What I'm wondering is if anyone has experience premature labor that was stopped because it was too early. I went into premature labor at 28 weeks and they stopped it twice. I was put on bedrest, but now I'm off. Have any of you experienced this? If so, how long afterwards did your baby come? Was your baby early?  Are you going through this too?

Thanks for the help and advice.....

The joys of pregnancy

Quote From: pregnantd

So About 4 Weeks Ago....

I Was In A Mid Sleep, It Was About 5 Or So In The Morning And I Am Up At About 5:30 To Make My Fiances Lunch Anyway And I Also Wake Up Several Times A Night To Run to The bathroom, but as it soo happens i wet the bed.  I was scared and upset because i woke up in the midst or this and didnt kno how or why it had happened, i kno the baby can push on you and make you wanna go , but this was almost a full out pee. whats up with that and has this happened to anyone else?? i was so embarised and shocked that my fiance decided that he wouldnt go to work so he could help clean up the mess.

Sadly, this has happened to me too! lol! I woke up in the middle of the night to find out that I was peeing the bed. I woke up quick enough to stop it before it became a huge mess though! I was about 6 months (I'm 33 weeks now) when that happened, right when the baby started getting heavier and weighing down on my bladder more! That was also when I started having some very realistic dreams....that night I happened to be dreaming that I had just arrived home from a trip and had to use the restroom so I did...and I seriously thought that I was sitting on the toilet and not laying in my bed with my husband! As soon as I started peeing, I thought to myself.. Wait a second, is this real!?

The way I solved it was, I now go to the bathroom EVERY time I feel the urge even if it's barely an urge. If you wait until you really have to go, then you might end up having an accident! lol! Anyways, just something you'll be able to laugh about after it's all over for years to come!  Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
