Is it possible that Maria could get child support from the biological father AND Enrique at the same time??? If this case wasnt so publicized, I wonder if she could get away with it, especially if the biological father lives in another state. Im sure they dont cross check every child support order.
Although Enrique didnt handle the news well, and probably didnt make the best choices after finding out (I can only imagine how one deals with that kind of bombshell being dropped on them!) I think Maria is 100% to blame for her daughter being hurt. She owed it to everyone, especially the daughter, to know the truth, as soon as she was old enough to understand. If Maria hadnt been so selfish, none of this would be happening today. She said the marriage was already in shambles at the point of the affair, so what did she have to lose by not being honest? I hope Enrique can gradually be in Selinas life again, but I dont think he should have to pay child support. No way!!! I hope he fights this tooth and nail and wins! Although Maria admits what she did was wrong, she seems oblivious to taking responsiblity for the pain her daughter is going through. When she first admitted to Enrique of the possiblity he might not be her biological father, and once the test was confirmed, MARIA should have told Selina herself, not waited for a visit with Dad so he could tell her. Shes a coward.
