03/06 Love, Lies and the Law

Quote From: heren44

You see alot of women complaining about men that are controlling; but I have seen women that can be just as bad.  I have been in Mental Health Groups where there are women that can be just as controling as men, and they are as afraid for their safety.  I have heard of women beating their signaificant others up also.  I personally feel just as bad for a man that goes thru that as a women does.
But, I do very much feel sorry for this woman that is going thru what she is going thru.  I know how she feels, I have been thru it myself.  I couldn't leave his sight when we first got together without him calling EVERYONE to find out where I was, and what was I doing!  Trust me, it did not last long!!  I made it very clear to him, just because I had a diamond on my finger-it can come off just as easy as it went on; I am NOT putting up with that type of bull_ _ _ _!!  I have friends that I had a LONG time before I ever met him and if he thought I was giving them up, he was dead wrong!  Not that I did not love my fiance, but I was NOT giving up MY PERSON-the person I was before we were together.  He fell in love with the person I was-outgoing, friendly, caring, and passionate about my friends; and I was not about to change to satisfy him.
He tried it again one time after we were married, and again-it did NOT work!!  We had a beautiful daughter, and I was not about to let her see that it was ok to let a man treat her that way!  I had let her see other things in our marraige that I shouldn't, but that was one thing I drew the line at-do not let him alienate you from family or friends!!  If you do, then he has you under his complete control, and you have lost the total person you are.
Good luck honey, and please-STAND UP FOR THE PERSON YOU ARE; AND KICK HIM TO THE CURB!  I realize with him being a former police officer it is harder because they all seem to stick together, but get away from that area where he has no infulence over the law!!!
Take care of yourself, please!!  If it has not gotten to the abuse stage, do not hang around for that because trust me-it WILL eventually, it will!  Take it from a woman that knows for sure!!!

As I see it, it wasn't to hard to pick up that the wife pretty much dominated the conversation regarding the husband. I worked in the Mental Health Field for 18yrs. I've seen alot during that time.  Nothing surprises me about what people come up with.  Dr. Phil is pretty awesome.  lori

01/15 The Dr. Phil House: Teen Intervention, Part 2

Quote From: auntiezee

I first met Kim when she was about 18 and I was 9, she is one of my cousins dearest friends.  Yes, people do make mistakes, and maybe Kim has made a few in her life, she's not saying she's perfect, but she is in no way this horrible person that Enza is making her out to be.  Despite mistakes that may have been made in the past, the important thing is now and the fact that Kim is doing whatever steps necessary to save her child.  Kim adores her children, and I just think that's it's sad that all people get to see is this side of things, and hear the insidious comments made by Enza.   It takes a very brave & strong person to allow America to come in and view their life...and Kim is definitely a very brave & strong woman.

Although I rarely make comments in here, I hope after Enza will see herself on the show.... I  hope she will realize how incredibly neurotic and hateful she is appears to be towards Kim. ... On one hand I can see she might "worry" about  her niece, however I feel she should "butt-out" and allow some peace in this woman's life (meaning Kim).  You are certainly right about this family and allowing millions of people to view their life.  I give Kim alot of courage to go on this show and what a better person than Dr. Phil to help them!!  I watch the show, but just rarely post on here... Kim if you are reading this.. I applaud you and your daughter- hugs to you and your daughter!! lori

06/07 Backstabbing Sisters

Quote From: happywithme

I watched both episodes of "the sisters" and I am more convinced than ever that there is something deeper...some other reason why Chirsty has made it her mission in life to make her sister's life miserable and potentially destroy her entire family. The intensity of the hate emanating from her was actually quite frightening.  I can't believe that anyone with even a shred of dignity would continue to pursue these allegations after multiple agencies had  investigated and cleared Stacy and her husband of any wrong doing...the lie detector was just the final nail in the coffin of her lies.

I felt terrible for those little children who live in fear each day that either their parents will be taken to jail or they will be taken away to foster care. I hope Christy and her husband are proud of themselves...to force little children to live with a constant insecurity.  It is perfectly obvious however that her personal vandetta is much more important than the emotional safety and well being of her own flesh and blood (Thank you Dr. Phil for getting those babies counseling).

If Christy doesn't want to associate with her family (which it sounds like she has seperated herself from most of them) then that is her choice, but using a story of alleged abuse as a child as a reason to automatically assume abuse and to attempt to crucify a sibling and her family speaks volumes about the instability of her own psyche.  If she was truly abused as a child, then she needs to seek out help and deal with those issues in a way that promotes personal growth not one that breeds contempt and anger.  Leave your sister and her family alone, and get some much needed professional help!  Anyone with as much hate in their heart as you have will undoudtedly end up a lonely old woman.

I watched both shows on these sister's as well and I couldn't agree with you more.  I feel even more so that Christy needs further mental health counseling as I saw the anger and rage come out towards Dr. Phil whom was only attempting to help both of them get the truth out.  I feel alot of jealousy comes from Christy towards her sister..  Her sister Stacy is very pretty.  I can't believe to what extremes people will go to in an attempt to verbally attack a family member.  And this be your sister's husband.  I wouldn't blame those children for not wanting anything to do with their Aunt.

I feel the exact same feelings as you have just spoken about!! Couldn't agree more!!

It was a wonderful gesture on Dr. Phil to get those babies counseling.  If Christy doesn't like what is on the boards she herself truly needs further evaluation along with her husband who went on national television and made this allegation towards Stacy's husband.  If I were Stacy's husband I would "sue" him for public humiliation and what a disgrace they are for what they did !!

Male Egos Out of Control

I just finished watching this show.  I surely was not impressed with John and didn't find him nice looking at all.  if I were single I wouldn't even give him a second look.  My opinion with Paul?  Perhaps he has a death wish? For a single guy to go on national t.v. and declare how many women he has slept with truely show's how imature he is. I wonder if he's been tested for all the various diseases he could have  and be spreading it with all the women he sleeps with.  I am happily married, and my husband is a 6'5" gorgeous Army Solider who serves his Country.  He is better looking than these 2 dingbats!  I side with the women who spoke up!  I just love watching Dr. Phil!!
