Curves is the Best!

Quote From: mistyc

If you've never been you are going to LOVE it!!!!!  even though I am a "big girl" I avoided gyms because I didn't want to feel like I was competing with a 100lb 19 year old.

My Curves has ladies of all sizes and all ages.  Another bonus is because there are no men around you can yak about anything, one day we were all discussing how our boobies had headed south!!

Good Luck

Misty

P.S. Curves really does work I lost 8 pounds and several inches within 2 months and I got my name on the "big loser" board!!!

I joined Curves about 10 months ago, and I have lost 131 pounds and 94.5 inches. I love going there. The fact that everyone is there for the same reason, plus we are all women, keeps me going. No one has ever turned their nose up at me, and now I am the encouragement to new members! Now I love being "The BIGGEST LOSER"!!! I went from a size 32W to a Misses 12. I just would like to be able to rid of this excess skin. My insurance will NOT pay for the surgery, which doesn't make sense, it is a health hazzard and an emotional hazzard! But I am not giving up!

01/04 Unforgettable Weight Stories

Quote From: jettav

I can't give you much advice here as I just started curves last week and I love it already. My goal is to lose 75 lbs. I think too the imporant thing is what and how you eat. I don't typically buy a lot of junk food but I am cutting it out completely for at least two weeks and then not buying it for home. I told my family that it is better that when we want an ice cream,( abig down fall in our house :), we will just go to the UDF and get one and that way there will be so seconds. Alos I think serving nutricious snacks is a good thing. I am not a smoker so I can't help you there, but want o wish you luck and know that you are not on this journey alone.
I've been going to curves for almost one year (March). I was 325.5 when I started. I have lost 148 pounds and 95 total inches. Curves works with you, but like Dr. Phil says, you have to be committed and work really hard. I have set several different goals. As I reach one, I make another. My first goal was to get to 180 pounds. I did that. Next was 170. I'm seven pounds away from that. My next goal is 150, which for my height (5'10') is ideal. My final goal is to learn to maintain my "new me"! I go to Curves three times a week, and this week I have started walking thirty minutes in the afternoon. They weigh and measure you once a month, that's your accountability. You have to realize, there will be ups and downs, and plateaus along the way, but don't give up. You might lose big at first, then slow to a little. If you keep going and stay focused, you will see big results before you know it. I have not had any gains and I hope I don't. Read Dr. Phil's books, and get on the computer and learn nutrition. It's amazing what you can eat that will work with you and never be hungry or deprived feeling. If your a sweet nut like me, put fresh fruit in your diet all three meals and snacks. I don't even think about sweets anymore. If I can do this at age 50, anyone can. Good Luck, and STAY FOCUSED!!! Email me if you need more encouragement.

Quote From: tootcpop

I lost over 100 lbs. at Curves.  I started eating sensibly, but knew I should exercise.  I chose Curves because of the friendly atmosphere and NO men.  I have 50 lbs. to go and I know I can do it!!  The support there is awesome!
That's what I like about Curves the most. The ladies that run the place have been there too. They work out with you. I have become sort of the poster child for our site. I've never been the focus of any attention before. I love it! I am now encouraging other's who are new members. I have now lost 150 pounds with 25 more to go. I NEVER dreamed I could do it. I know you can definately do it as focused as you have become. Keep Your spirits up and Let's go girl!
