Choices everyone has them
I am just now watching the show and am in awe that someone like the father who is trying to get "EQUAL CHOICE RIGHTS" for men. As I see it men have the same choices as women. They can choose to have sex and deal with the consequences or they can choose not to. The matter of it being consensual or not isn't in debate, but is something everyone must agree with "SAYING YES MEANS YES, SAYING NO MEANS NO!" As for the problem of women having more choices about what happens if the couple conceives is true, but the fact of the matter is that no woman can honestly voice an opinion about what she might or might not do once that life has started within her. A man can voice his opinion that he isn't ready to be a father, but unless he has taken precautions to prevent conception on his part then he should be responsible for those actions he takes. There are more contraceptives available to women then men in this world, but a man can take responsibility for what his body can or can't do to prevent pregnancy. A condom is only 97% affective and yes it is a mans typical first choice to prevent a pregnancy on his part, but it isn't the only solution. A healthy sexually active male can make the choice not to be a father by simply talking with his doctor about options available to ensure that he won't be able to help with conception. There are procedures out there that may not sound comfortable and may not be inexpensive, but a child conceived at any point is the responsibility of both parties. After all both agreed to participate in an act that has in nature one purpose, the creation of new life!!!!! Men can get a simple procedure done that can keep them from ever having children, or they can ask for a surgery that can be reversed once they reach the time, place and age they are ready for fatherhood. People of all ages need to WAKE UP and realize that in nature for every other species SEX is only used to create life! Humans have been given the ability and the power to prevent, terminate, give to another couple who is willing to be a parent, and be a parent themselves. Often as human beings we over look the sole purpose of sex and only look at the pleasure we receive from having sex. Perhaps if we were more honest with ourselves and honest with one another fewer children would find themselves the result of reluctant parents!
