SCAMS!

Quote From: pegjoe

I get emails almost every day from Nigeria, UK, and other countries telling me I have inherited millions.  All I have to do is send my phone and address and it will be delivered.  All pf them have a similar story. Some are dying from cancer and want me to get their money for one reason or another.  I cannot find out what the gimmick is with these emails.  Does anyone know?Peggy Warren
The "gimmick" to these is that they're all bogus!  They'll send you a check, tell you to deposit or cash it, send them a specific amount, and the rest is yours to keep.  Problem is that the original check is no good, but by the time you find that out, you've already sent them their portion, and you're liable to your bank for the balance.  IF you're lucky, the bank will be suspicious of the check and refuse to cash it.  You can check a lot of these out at www.snopes.com which is a great website to refer to on questionable internet info.

Pill Popping Twins

What so many posters here don't seem to recognize is that there is a HUGE difference between taking prescription medicines as directed by one's doctor, and buying prescription drugs off the street for the sole purpose of abusing them.  Addicts don't use drugs because they're stressed or depressed or in pain, or _________ (fill in the blank with whatever you choose).  They use them to get high. But when the high wears off, the original problem remains, along with the desire for more drugs....and the cycle repeats itself.

1001 Show

Quote From: codeebrown

Ok, I watched the show and must have missed it. What did Jay reveal?
I recorded and re-watched the show to try to pick up on Jay's "revelation".  Though it was easy to miss, and definitely didn't live up to all the hype, I think it was the part when Jay answered Dr. Phil's question about whether he'd still have backed the move to CA if he knew then what he knows now.  Jay's comment about knowing every day that he can be proud of his Dad seemed to touch Dr. Phil......maybe not to the point of "bringing tears to his eyes", but I'm pretty sure that was "the moment we were all waiting for"!

Anyone?

Quote From: philfan_52

ANYONE????!!!!

Yep, all this week's shows are repeats, as was the case last week.  What a bummer!

Sure hope it's only a temporary situation and doesn't last all summer!

While I can't answer your question about Robin wearing black so frequently, I do share your curiosity about the reason.  It does seem that even on the rare occasions when she wears a brighter color, at least part of her outfit is always black!

Newlywed Bank Robbers

By no means do I agree that Kylee's 15 month prison/probation sentence  is appropriate.

However, a MAJOR reason for the disparity between her sentence and Josh's is that he had a previous record and had already served prison time, whereas it was a first offense for her.  That definitely factors into determining the length of the sentence as well as how and where it is served, be it prison, probation, or what have you.
