good memory

Quote From: mustbecrazy

When I was 10 years old, I had a hamster.  She died from an injury in her cage.  I brought her to my dad (who knew she was dead), and he gave her some oxygen from his welding tanks...just to make me feel better...to make me feel that at least we tried something.  Little hamster CPR.

My dad was always bringing home stray animals too...when we couldn't keep them, we found them homes instead of taking them to the pound.

Brenda suggested that I write a song for my dad...I'm working on it...it's from Psalms 4 & 5...I've taken some artistic license with God's word...I hope He doesn't mind...

Becky

That is a wonderful memory .........it sounds like he had a special place in his heart for animals. You will probably have other relatives and family members come up with other stories you haven't heard before and even ones you hadn't thought of in a long time. He would be happy to know that you remembered that and are working on a song. What a nice idea. You are very creative. Chris

Remember.......

Quote From: gwarrior6

I went to Starbucks this morning, and there was a line, so I took my place behind this hippie-ish lady, dressed up.  I didn't think it was necessary to dress up to go get breakfast, and she SNEERED at me!  Plus she was RUDE to me at the cashiers desk.  This infuriated me oourthn more than one level.
First of all, youre a neo-hippie, you believe in free-expression, don't judge a book by its cover, blah, blah, blah.  Yet, here you are looking DOWN on ME, which basically makes you a hypocrite.

Second, I've got a massive dose of PMS, so i'm not taking crap off anyone!

Third, it's my day off, and I'll be darned if I'm judged by ANYONE!  I'll do what I want, and if she sticks up her snooty nose, she can kiss my pasty butt, because I don't care!

Fourth, I'm tired, and hungry, and all i want is my friggin' coffee and muffin, and i don't want to interact when i'm just getting sustenance...so go back to your commune and leave me alone!

We'll excuse anything before the first cup of coffee!:>) The PMS  probably  didn't help. What does a dressed-up hippie wear anyway??:>) I think I know what you mean.....  At least you weren't the 5000th customer or something and they had a band waiting for you with a reporter from the local paper!!!!!:>) Sometimes all you want is a cup of coffee....I'm with you on that one!!!!  It's a funny story. If you see her again, tell her you always come there because you're preparing for the return of the mothership and  you look forward to seeing her again soon...:>) She might switch Starbucks.:>)

natural Progesterone

Quote From: gwarrior6

Thanks for the suggestion, I think I'll try those.  I'll do anything to keep my inner bitch from going on a killing spree-LOL!  Maybe my therapist can help me get in touch with my inner demon and channel it into productivity-I'll have a clean house once a month!   Seriously, thank you for the suggestion, my husband thanks you in advance! :)

works well for PMS. You can go online to find a source. One reliable one is Women's Intnl. Pharmacy Assoc. 1-800-558-7046. They have a list of Drs and can give you a name in your area for a prescription. They ship all over the country. The capsules work quickly and are available in different strengths. It's been used in the US over 20 years and Europe for 40 years.

charm school??

Personally, maybe we can all enroll in charm school ,but they might need to put us in the intensive 30 day program.:>)  Oh,no, what if we don't pass?   All that niceness would just be too much for us to take!!! I'd last for 5 days maybe.:>)

Glad the test was good

Quote From: mustbecrazy

I had a breast MRI last week.  They had to have me come back the next day for a retake, because the dye didn't release into my IV.  I heard from the doctor today, and the MRI was clean...no cancer showing at this time.  I will have a mammogram as soon as I am cleared by the surgeon, after I am healed from the last of the reconstructive surgery.

Gonna go have some peppermint tea and go to bed now...Becky

I'm glad to hear the MRI came back good . It sounded like the surgery went well ,just taking it easy on a few things for awhile. I  was thinking of you and the memorial service and how hard that must be. I hope you get through it OK. I got back from visiting my family. We went to my sister's and got to see my niece and nephew. My niece is taking hunter safety class so she can go dear hunting with her Dad in the fall when she turns 13. They are out in the country and they practice using BB gun rifles trying to hit Pepsi cans hanging from string in a row   between 2 trees off the deck. I got to try it and I was pretty good!!  My niece took pictures of us . The BB guns look like a rifle and one like an AK-47. If I show them to people here I can say...Here is my family back home........ Here's my sister with a rifle....here's my brother........ Here's me..... and here's Grandma!!!!(my Mom)  All you can see are us aiming them off the deck and the cans aren't in the picture. We look like an NRA poster family....the family that hunts together ,stays together.:>)  My Dad actually came over to my sisters from the assisted living place. It was a brand new beautiful 2 building  site, each with 20 or 25 residents. The staff is young and patient. He was very unhappy about being there (that is putting it mildly) But may like it better in time. He is probably overmedicated by claiming more pain than he really has and so far abusive to the staff and family when visiting. The little old ladies with their white hair  and blue sweaters and the men residents would gaze at us in wonder as we arrived to visit. Must be the most excitement they've had in awhile. They do have someone visit with pet therapy once a week and people can bring dogs in to visit relatives. That was the one time he smiled a lot - when a visitor brought her pomeranian in his room, it seemed to help. They have a resident bird  also. Nature seems to be healing, don't you think, for many things. God Bless...Chris
