I have a friend who yells at her 7 kids at the top of her lungs while on the phone with me.  Sometimes she puts the phone on mute but sometimes she forgets and blasts my ears.  I have tried to talk to her about this.  Her kids are hyper and bounce off the walls.  They all yell at each other and no one hears anyone. 

Constant yelling at kids makes them nervous little people who are so full of stress that they can't understand what you are saying.  You are teaching them nothing except how to yell to deal with problems. 

How on earth did the mother of the teen who uses salvia with her son get back on a plane to Texas with that child?  As a mandated reported of child abuse why did Dr. Phil allow this to happen?  This mother is insane and has no idea how to parent a child.   As for the legality of the substance- That has nothing to do with it.  Alcohol is legal but you aren't allowed to get your child intoxicated on that either.   This child has had to endure going through the 9th grade 3 times because his mother is stupid.  Please have a follow up and tell me that this mother has lost custody of this child.  I hope she lost her job at the high school that she works at as well.  What a nut case!

Has it occurred to any one else that the attitude of this young mother is that same one that Casey Anthony had?  She too resented her child and how being a mother kept her from having fun.  She too resented the love that was lavished on the "interloping" child.  Too bad adoption was not considered by this family.  He might have gotten a mother that was willing to make sacrifices that most mothers make.  Certainly Kaylee would still be alive if that were the case.

I would encourage the grandma to keep that baby close to her until her daughter gets the help that she needs. 

You are loved by God.  You are special.  I am not for gay marriage but I am a firm believer that we are to love and be kind to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  Everyone that is for marriage remaining traditional does not hate you.  It might feel that way.  I am for the laws protecting the right of same sex couples to be free from discrimination and abuse.  We have health care proxys that can give the right of your partner to make your medical decisions and to be at your bedside in the hospital.  We have wills that a person can leave their belongings to their loved one.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a gay teen.  Kids can be so cruel.  When people say that I am hateful for my religious beliefs that is hurtful too.  That is probably the objective.  My faith sometimes makes me feel as if I am hated by same sex couples.  Both sides need to tone down the rhetoric. 

As for you, Alex, you are God's creature.  He loves you and therefore how can I hate you?  Keep your chin up.

I think that when a mother is really hateful towards a daughter it is sometimes due to the fact that she hates herself.  She sees in her daughter the flaws and qualities that she hates in herself.  If Tammie got counseling about what she hates about herself she might be able to stop placing the blame for her feelings on her daughter.  My mom and I are so much alike that we bump heads.  My sister, who is more like my father's side of the family, and my mother never argue. 

None of us saw any behaviors from Davida except a sweet little girl in search of her mother's love.  Although it  was obviously abhorrent behavior on the part of the mother- by demonizing her we only serve to reinforce the hateful feelings she already has for herself. 

Tammie get counseling for yourself.  Did your mother treat you like you were not wanted?  How sad for Davida.  I would love to spend time with her to tell her what a great person she is.  All she wants is a hug.  Find out why you have to withhold that. 

Dr. Phil has reported these parents to a national audience.  A viewer in Davia's own hometown might be a CPS worker- She can order a copy of this program and take Tammie to court.  The same way the DA in Los Angeles filed charges with Michael Jackson after the Martin Breshier report.   It is out there for  national scrutiny.  Anyone can file charges.
