Funny thing this show tonight. EXACTLY WHAT I WANT MY HUSBAND TO GET A BACKBONE AND FIGHT THIS PROBLEM....This topic was discussed about 1/2 before the show started between my husband and I. I am married to a wonderful man who has 7 Years Clean & Sober. We have been together for 9 years. HE IS A VICTIM OF THIS CRIME! He has been paying child support consistently for 7 years (since he has got his life together) and get this HE'S NEVER EVER MET THIS CHILD!!!!! Back when he was 20 years old a girl took him to county court and swore he was the father and the first test came back NEGATIVE, THEY DID ANOTHER TEST AND IT CAME BACK POSITIVE??
There was another suspect as he had confronted my husband stating " he was the father " when they had been incarcerated together. It turns out he committed suicide but the court said he was deceased so there was nothing they could do there.
BEFORE THEY DID THE SECOND TEST THEY KNEW ABOUT THE OTHER ALLEGED FATHER BUT ONCE THEY FOUND OUT HE WAS DECEASED THEY ASKED FOR ANOTHER TEST WHICH CAME BACK POSITIVE. I need some help understanding all of this........... He states there is nothing we can do due to the statue of limitations WHICH is 2 years. Obviously at this time he was in no shape to conquer the law as the law was conquering him and his addiction. This man has show wonderful growth and life in the last 6 years. It hasn't been easy. We have a 2 year old ourselves and only want to live our life. This has effected our income at times. I just wonder if this kid even knows about him??? hmmm
Is there a way to fight this? I wish DR. Phil could help me. Besides this he is a miracle. One of those 3% that make it out of the depths of this disease which in controlling our world. He is a true inspiration to many and hope one day he will find great success in his life as he sure deserves it.
