Ending Toxic Friendships

A 26 year friendship and sometimes love affair recently ended. It was ending (friendship, we hadn't been sexually involved for a number of years) for quite some time already, and this spring petered out.

I still don't know if I am glad that's what happened or if I'm sorry that I never told her off, because I felt she deserved it a number of times!

Miss Nevada

First I'll be perfectly frank and say that I think these pageants are dumb.

Second, if a girl enters, she knows the rules.

So, she has to play by them, and that's that.

Shown here today

Quote From: patrickonline

Today they repeated this show.

Like many others, I am really curious how Paul is doing and these other 3 girls. Jazmyn, Joan and Vicky.

Can we please have an update :)

Patrick

Since we get shows with a big delay, I only saw this one today.

So has their been a follow up?

I can "understand" sex offenders...

I can understand that they are sick and/or evil, take your choice.

What I cannot understand is a parent who puts their relationship with anybody else over their child.

08/03 Caught in the Act

Quote From: bayshoregirl

First of all, she was NOT dressed appropriately for a Miss  Nevada or a Miss Universe contestant  on your show, so how must she dress when not on your show trying to defend herself. These titles should represent the best girls in our Country not the representation she showed while on her "good behavior," Thank you for allowing me to make a responce. I wish she could read it.
I think there are plenty of "best girls " (I am an American living overseas) who are not appearing in beauty pageants!

08/20 The Dr. Phil House: Saving Grace, Part 2

A lot of people imply that lack of conviction is the fault of "liberal" judges, but if you look at laws, some them were passed decades ago, when the conservative attitudes against children made it very hard to convict rapists, especially when the rapist was a family member.

I remember in the '70s when it became easier for the justice system to convict rapists of adult women, many legislators were against making it easy to get a conviction for incest and child rape. Reason: "Children lie."

Zero Tolerance

I have zero tolerance for any cell phone use while driving. I don't care if it is hands on, hands off texting. Anything.

Here this is an enormous problem, but as for all violations while driving, including those that result in death, the punishements are a sick joke.

There is absolutely no justification, short of calling an ambulance or the police, that justify any cell phone use when driving.

Marian (Tel-Aviv, Israel)

PS - Have also seen cyclists using cell phonee, although not texting while on the roac.

Me, I can't figure out the teenager!

Quote From: juzzaboo

Why do women let men do this to them. he didn't only cheat on her with a women but he cheated on her with a teenager a kid practicaly!! Im sure she didn't hire this girl to watch her husband. that wife should have kept that divorce and let him be with the teenager or any other kid and let him get in trouble for being a petafile and not let it shame the family. Im sorry but i was always raised that your actions dosen't just reflect on you but your family to. I was told never act a fool like that. so now people are going to look at her saying that she is married to a petafile and she has kids. the general public would worry for the kids. he did it to a teenager do you think he would do somethin to the kids. you never now!!

Me, I can't understand the teen in cases like this.

Never mind the whole argument about adultery.

What is she thinking? As a ten does she really want to become Ms. Whatshisname with step kids so early in life?!

You want a dress code for women on airlines?

Quote From: karenw

Kyla was legally yet inappropriately attired for a flight. She was unable to sit down without providing a Fruit of the Loom exposure. At least she had Fruit of the Looms on unlike Britney's ongoing exposure. Without a stated dress policy code prohibiting what she wore the airline employee acted inappropriately by chastising her.

Fly the Iranian airline. You'll get women all covered up there for sure, and for all I know, there may be separate seating for women.

I hate seeing people  anywhere, men or women, dress a way I consider "cheap." On the other hand, when some people make a point of throwing their piety in my face by the way they dress I don't like it either.

I mean chill out folks. As long as there is no dress code, they shouldn't have hassled her.

Nose Jobs

I have an Orthodox Jewish coworker (I'm Jewish myself, but secular), who's even more Orthodox daughter had a nose job - in Israel yet!

My snoz is pretty ethnic but I never dreamed of having it done - and here this very religious girl who considers me "not Jewish enough"  and uses the term "chosen people" daily, but isn't satisfied with the "chosen nose" that goes with it.

LOL!
