Wait a minute?

I thought this show hasn't been televised yet?

It seems that you all know a lot before you've even seen the show!

I think that this week of all weeks...

with the news item about the girl who married a man 30 years older than her when a teen and is now missing and assumed dead people might think twice about accusing Moslems of brainwashing sweet young things into deadly situations!!!

That being said, if she is chosing to live in Gaza with him as opposed to the West Bank, she is either 1) outrageously and stupidly in love or 2) a brave political activist for the Islamic Palestinian (as opposed to the secular Palestinian) cause.

My vote, I'm afraid is with No.1.

No Palestine as a country yet

Quote From: helenytt

First of all: There is no official country named Palestine. It is either Israel or Gaza strip and Westbank.

Second of all, unfortunately lots of girls from abroad got hooked up with Arabs/Moslims. Here in Israel there are lots of Dutch, Danish, Russian girls who got married with moslims and live here in villages or in the Gaza strip or the Westbank.

It is like my dad used to tell me:
You have to respect every culture, you cannot get married to every culture!

Unfortunately most of these girls can't get out once they are in....... or they'll loose their kids!
Some girls are really happy with the situation.

But there is the Palestinian Authority, which, if it solves its own sad problems will eventually be a country.

Face it.

I could go on, but this isn't a political board.

Bad choices can be made regardless of religious / ethnic factors

Don't we see gals on Dr. Phil all the time who are married to controling bullies? And they are the lucky ones.

The unlucky ones don't make it to Dr. Phil, they make it to the headlines.

I'm sorry if I sound cold and uncaring...

...but I am so tired of women, who get into situations where they are left dependent in every way  on men like this.

Sometimes I think one of the requirements for getting a marriage license should be some kind of a profession, so nobody is stuck in a marriage because they need the financial support.

And if someone's religion doesn't allow divorce, is there anything that prevents them from leaving a dangerous situation?

You can call me meanspirited all you want...

...but when I hear about one of these kids going into a wall in my neck of the woods, I'm relieved.

Relieved that they bagged it before they could kill some innocent people.

My mom said that I'm mean spirited, too. She said, think of the grieving mother.

If the mom didn't think enough of the kid to control him/her, and if the kid didn't think enough of mom not to do theses  things, why should I be thinking of them.

My thought is only for the potential victims of this kind of stupidity!

Just don't get it.

How, how, how can a woman in an abusive relationship.

There is no excuse for this kind of thing, not even money, as there are women's organizations that help.

And the minute the woman says,  BUT I LOVE HIM any sympathy I made have had for her is out the window.

She is a selfish twat who put herself before her children.

Children and adults were getting into trouble long before the Internet!

People forget that these things happened through  pen-pal clubs and lonely hearts columns a century ago!

If you don't keep an eye on your kids, or if you married a jerk to start with, don't blame it on the net!

What are you saying here?

Quote From: princessgina

Unless their is a health reason I can't undertsand why people would on purpose choose not to have kids. Kids are a blessing from God in my opinion. Kids put up for adoption should be sent into loving homes of people who can't have any kids.

That people shoud be forced to breed and put the kids up for adoption to supply people who can't breed with kids?

And if you can't understand why people might not want kids, your ability to understand things is pretty limited.
