Change the Locks!

Quote From: jenni35

I married a moocher and am SOOOOO lucky that he took off last year, to be with a 19-year-old former student of his.  Now SHE can support him and put up with his laziness.  He wouldn't clean, do laundry, help around the house, shop for groceries, absolutely NOTHING.  But wanted me to wait on him hand and foot.  Adios jerk!  I hope the door hit him on the way out.

I got so upset watching the mom on this show, when her son had had her kicked out of the home.  What in the world???  If I were that mom, I'd definitely CHANGE THE LOCKS when he was out one day.  it's not hard to do.........I changed the locks on my house last summer when my jerk took off and after that, he couldn't come back into the house without my permission.  It's a cheap and easy way to get rid of that mooching son of hers.  I just can't believe the guy is 33 and has no job, no home, and doesn't really seem like he wants much of anything......but he HAS kids and those kids need to be SOMEWHERE even though their father is a fat loser.

My ex was something of a moocher, too, and I couldn't agree with you more! That mom needs to CHANGE HER LOCKS!  There was something distinctly antisocial about the way that son of hers could recklessly infringe on his family that way, using his own children as hostages.  Like he was saying, "If you don't do what I want, you'll never see your grandchildren again."

If he keeps refusing to work, he might wind up homeless and losing custody of his children anyway, as he would be unable to provide for them.  Maybe then the kids would be returned to the grandmother?

Will Marty Ever Get a New Trial?

That Detective McCready who coerced the original confession out of him when he was a teenager ~ Detective McCready may just be the best proof of his innocence ~ he didn't come off looking so good.  I was surprised that he even refused to consider the possibility that Marty might be innocent.

Cressi Needs to Back Off!

I think that Cressi needs to back off and let Darby live her own life.  It's obvious that she didn't do much to try to 'find' Darby.  And, she needs to get honest about that, because how can she ever apologize to her daughter for what she's done if she can't even admit it?  Cressi is still lying and manipulating, and the parents who actually did raise Darby were right to protect her from that!  Sounds like if Cressi had had things her way, she would have floated in and out of Darby's life every now and then, when it suited her, and she would have merely stirred up Darby's emotions and feelings of abandonment ~ she would have caused more harm than good.

I hope that Darby gets a chance to see her siblings, without Cressi.  Hopefully, Cressi will not try to manipulate Darby through her siblings ~ she's already done enough damage.  Cressi made the decision to abandon her daughter a long time ago, and it's too late for her to take it back now!

Cressi sounds to me like she is only interested in having her own emotional needs met ~ suddenly she wants to feel like Darby's mom, when the truth is, she's not Darby's mom and she never will be.  If she was really thinking about Darby, she would back off and let Darby live her life!

01/15 The Dr. Phil House: Teen Intervention, Part 2

Quote From: bribenton

What enza needs is anger management!!!!  If she is married I bet her husband is to embarrassed!

What on earth is Enza telling herself in her head to make her think that it is okay for her to yell at the top of her lungs and scream out every mean thing that comes to mind? Must be the same loose cogs that allow her to say she won't say anything mean about this girl's mother and then spew venom about her in the next sentence.

I think the real reason she was smirking in the car was because she's thriving on the conflict.

Is it sometimes difficult for Dr. Phil to be objective?

I thought that Dr. Phil did a wonderful job of handling Heather and Earl; neither one of those two displayed any insight, let alone remorse! After looking at that picture of that chubby four-year-old's legs covered with first, second and third degree burns, all I could think about was how that child must have suffered at their hands, how frightened and bewildered he must have been that night he was set on fire! Certainly, it must have been too painful for him to sleep!

I had to stop watchin and interrupt my own four-year-old ~ who was watching Sponge Bob and playing with his 'army mans' ~ I had give him a big hug!

The thought of what those people did was so awful!  And, Earl had the gall to call it a SUNBURN!

Of course, Dr. Phil was 100% correct in being objective.  If I had been standing up there glaring at them demanding to know what was wrong with them, I wouldn't have done any good at all.  Besides, they don't really seem to know what is wrong with themselves, anyway ~ that's why they need Dr. Phil.

Do  you think it's difficult for someone as compassionate as Dr. Phil to be objective with people like that.  After all, surely he must have been thinking of that little boy, too!

01/18 Mr. Wrong

Quote From: nojanie

I was shocked to hear Sarah's description of the man that was killed by her jailed husband.  "He was just a guy."  She acted like she didn't even care about the victim.  Why didn't Dr. Phil ask, "Well, did this guy have parents?"  Sarah seemed a little heartless about that.

I caught that, too.  Sounds like Sarah may have adopted a bit of her husband's antisocial attitude.  He may have been 'just a guy' to her, but he's no longer on the planet thanks to the man of Sarah's dreams.

Katrina was there for 'exposure'!

Quote From: dls1963

Like she said on the show, "IF he seen me he would not want her" You are so right all he did was feed her illness.  Now she had the chance to show him (in her mind) what SHE looks like. I'm sure thinks she just sealed the deal and he will be calling.  Not weel enough to understand she scares him and she would be the last thing he wanted.

I agree with you and Diane.  I was thinking the same thing when Dr. Phil asked her something to the effect of, was she there to defend her position or there to get help?  I think she was there for the exposure.  I really hope the prosecutor's comments shook some sense into her, but I'm thinking that, unfortunately and more than likely, she feels like if this rapper star sees her, he'll perceive her as a lady in distress and fall madly in love with her.  Not gonna happen.

Katrina is a beautiful girl and I'll bet there are a lot of guys in her life who would like to ask her out ~ nice guys she probably ignores in pursuit of this phantom.  I hope she winds up getting her help outside of a jail cell rather than inside!

She needs closure

Quote From: lilkimyak

I really do not understand her. I would not want to see him. I'm sure she has built up anger and rage, It might come out in the wrong way. From the tid bits i've seen of him so far. He does not care. What a waste of a man. Drugs he says. Come on Buddy. You have kids. What was he thinking?? I cannot wait to find out.

I think she needs closure.  Yes, she knows her father killed her mother, but she needed to see for herself who he was.  There he is, her genetic father ~ he looks like her and she must have inherited dozens of haphazard things from him, not all of them bad.

She had to look at that waste of a man and reconcile the person in front of her with the 'father' that every girl longs in her heart to have ~ that's a hard thing to do! However, it might get done better and more quickly, if she has him in front of her for a moment of time for hello and goodbye.

Dr. Phil is doing an awesome job with this tough case, and here's one of the reasons I think it's so compelling.  I get the impression that Dr. Phil was willing to move mountains to help this deserving and courageous young woman (cause he moved some mountains).  And, if he had to choose between either helping this woman or airing this show in front of millions, he'd choose to help this woman ~ it's all over him how much he wants to help her ~ and he does.

What About Cindy's Meds?

Did I hear her tell Dr. Phil that she was taking 1300 milligrams of Percocet every day? Does anyone know how many tablets that is? Is that 13 tablets?

I was just curious because I think daily Percocet would definitely make her a different person.  It might be that she finds her situation tolerable and happy because she's looking at it through a pill cloud.
