I knew Melissa as Bella on the boards.
When I first "met" her, she was in college with twin boys and in recovery- so she said.
One thing that sticks out to me is a question she asked. We had another member on the boards that was questionable, writing false stories, attention seeking drama. Melissa had asked me if I saw her as this person.
I had said no.
I wasn't wrong- Melissa was by far much worse.
I read in these interviews how Melissa did this because "to feel special to somebody-to feel like somebody in this world gave a sh*t whether I lived or died".
At the time she was working this scam on Marie, tearing Marie's world apart, Melissa had many who cared whether she lived or died- cared greatly.
Melissa had informed us on the boards she had breast cancer and was undergoing treatment for such.
We cared deeply. She had many people who cared deeply.
Ands she used each and every one- manipulated each and every one- trampled each and every one.
I don't know what made Melissa do this to these women- to keep doing this over and over and over. One thing I feel quite sure about, it wasn't for any noble reason such as just wanting to feel special.
She didn't want to feel special- she wanted to dominate, control, power trip herself into oblivian with the high of it all.
That is her drug of choice- the pain of other people. Being able to exert that type of control.
I'd like to think she can be helped- I'd like to think she will never do such a thing again- but after witnessing her carnage up close and personal, I don't see a fix for her.
How do you give someone a heart when they don't have one?

My respect and admiration for all these women in having the courage to push forward- to not just sit back and allow Melissa to continue.
She needs to be stopped- what she does ,has done is cruel. Utterly totally cruel.

Why shouldn't Melissa show her face on national TV?
Why shouldn't she put her name out there?

She doesn't use her face or her name to scam- she does it behind the screen.
She can use your face- or your daughter's face to do her dirty work. No accountability- after all it is the internet- her playground.

I do agree with the assessment of sociopath. I think that fits her  perfectly.
It was not just to feel important and loved.
If that was her only need, then she had that already as a breat cancer victim on the boards where she frequented.
She had the importance there- as well as many other sites.
She in my opinion is on a power trip- plain and simple. The more she got, the more she wanted.
Feeding that hunger by manipulating and scamming innocent women who just wanted a child to love.
I think she does remember Jen- she just isn't going to admit it because with Jen, she used another person's identity. Did you just not catch that part?
Maybe that person is real and Melissa can put this one off on her- as there was some money exchanged and would possibly make it a convictable offense.
Very convenient memory for her part don't ya think?
I think that is why she apologized so profusely to Crissy- another convictable offense.
There is no remorse on her part- just a desperate attempt to get her off without having to do time.
Totally self serving.

She is good at what she does.

You posters posting  in judgment of these ladies, you are truly just ignorant. You have never met or experienced a person like this- you have not been in these ladies shoes so you just don't know.
What you fail to realize - every outfit validated this woman, validated this baby that did not exist.
Whatever skepticism there was, vanishes with each purchase. Every  nursery validated this child.
What kind of woman would do this kind of thing just for the hell of it?

You expect money- money to her is a huge red flag. You do not expect for her to watch  "her" money go to a baby that does not exist.
You don't. So with every purchase with her on the phone,helping you pick outfits, that validates this child.

Of course you hear things that make you wonder about her mental health- for sure things that make you doubt her parenting skills- that just increases your desperation to save this child from living in that environment.

These babies were real to these ladies. The only one who knew differently was Melissa- who gained her pleasure from their pain. Not for any monetary gain- that was just a fringe benefit- but for the power and control.
There is no way to see that one coming. Not until it is too late and you are already emotionally invested.

I knew Melissa as "Bella" for over a year. I saw more of the Melissa than these ladies did.
And I never once saw this coming- not once.
After all what kind of person does this kind of thing just for the hell of it?

Melissa. She does. By the time you see that and realize that, it is too late.You have already been burned.

That is Melissa exactly.
She does not care who she hurts as long as she gets hers. Her attention, her power play .
She scammed men as well- working a cancer scam. I know, I witnessed this.
It isn't a self loathing thing- it is a superior thing. She gets her thrills by being the superior wit- by playing your good qualities against you.
Power. That is what it is- exactly.

She only cried because they took the cameras away from her.
