I'm surprised you would think any of your successes are a reflection on your mother.  A parent can be a complete failure and have successful children.  My kids aren't on broadway and they aren't aspiring to be, but that doesn't make me a failure.  Our daughter (9ys) wants to be a vet and work with native Australian animals, I already am a vet who works with horses.  Whether our daughter becomes a successful vet or a successful cleaner I don't care, she will always be a success in my eyes and I will never be a failure in my own merit. 

Imagine if everyone wanted to be on broadway or be a popstar or actor, who would look after them when they got sick?  Or needed food?  Or clothing?  Who would make the costumes?  What is wrong with being a happy cleaner or scientist or anything else "ordinary" and not "worthy" of being deemed a "success"? 

Good luck with your future and I hope you are happy with your choices at the end (when it really matters).

PS I'm sorry someone called your Mum a failure (I didn't read that post), they don't know her and she seems like a loving mother caught up in everything with three wonderful kids.

Why in the name of sanity would she chose him over the safety of her children?  That's what she's doing and those children have no say in it.  It doesn' take much to kill a little child and then they're gone forever.

I would suggest the grandparents have custody of the kids until he has proven himself, but he seems the type who would go and kill them to get the kids back.  Then if he did that his wife would still stick up for him and blame her parents for causing it.  That's the thing with abusers, it's always someone elses fault.  Why can't she see that her parents want to protect her?  She's a parent and she SHOULD want to protect her own children, shouldn't she?

Sounds like those two lied their way through the whole show purely so they can keep the kids captive in their crazy life.  He must be quite a catch.

I'm hearing you there, we live 15 hours drive away from my mother and that was the best move we ever made. 

Amy is so young and now the kids are here she seems to be trying to reclaim her youth.  Amy seems to be blaming her mother for the control that her boyfriend had over her. 

You can't turn back time now Amy and your little ones need their Mummy to be reliable and responsible.  They don't need to be around their Dad if he hurt you, so don't go back to him again since that seems to be a pattern you've had of leaving your mothers house for him.  Dr Phil will help you and you should grap that help and aim high for yourself and your children. 

There's always hope while your alive Amy and you can have a great life, you just have to believe in yourself and stop giving up.  Your Mum loves you or she wouldn't have had you and your babies living with her, you are a very lucky girl to have a good mum (so many in our world don't).

What is it all about?  Money no doubt, the issue of MONEY is the main cause of problems in families.  My Aunties and Uncles are vultures out for everything my grandfather has in his life (even his own house that he worked his whole life to buy), they don't want to wait until he is cold in the ground they're all arguing about who is going to "get it all" in front of him.  I can't imagine how bad he feels knowing his children would rather he be dead so they can have stuff.  A smile from him is worth 10 times everything he has, he is priceless.

No doubt it all has to do with money in this case too...

You sound like a GREAT teacher!  I would love a teacher like you for our two children.  Thankyou for helping kids feel special since so many don't get that at home and they all should know they are!!!!!
