Is it just me -- thinking this?  We all know cheating is dead wrong...but what is up with Myra? She's spent 19 years of marrage hating her husband -- daily!  Apparently she enjoying this part way too much.  Gene is an admitted Jerk,  womanizer and he's crude and all the other names he's called.  However, frankly -- if everyday on his marriage he's also critized, malined crused at consantly by his wife and his children -- nonstop! 

During this "sit down  on the hot-seat  and let us tell that person  what I hate about you? This exercise didn't make any sense to me.  However,  when it was Myra turn and Gene started -- what did she do?  Every comment Gene made  -- Mrya's rolling her eyes, making facial gesters -- "mugging the camera" -- She didn't listen nor did she care nor showed any self-control.  She wants her marriage fixed?  Not.  Yes, Gene as been a skunk, but  Myra's not smelling good at all. They both are feeding off each other and they are addicted to fighting and calling names.

I don't know if I could live for 19 years with anyone who never lets up ever?  Myra has withheld her affections and attentions towards Gene for years and years!  She wants him -- not.  Well, Myra has reaped what she has sown.  No peace. No respect. No love and No affection.  I would call this marriage "Hell on earth."  NO WIN -- NO WAY -- NO HOW.  A TOTAL DISASTER.

Myra -- You said that the reason for this family being a disastere is only 20% your fault.  Not true. It's 80% your fault because have continued this cycle of "blame and shame" and punishment routine 19 years! What did you expect differently from Gene?

This marriage (if you can call it that) was doomed from the start.  It began with lies and deceit, a relationship that begins this way has no chance..."a house built on sand".

My question for Myra would be, you cheated with Gene when he was married, so what made you think that it was going to be different with you???  You claimed you didn't know he was married at first...when you found out why didn't you send sent him packing!!!

This is a mess and they should cut their loses...Dr. Phil your good but this one is going to need a miracle!!!

I agree, I felt the 3 women was a waste of air time and no benefit to anyone?

They annoyed me.  He cried, that is not easy for most men?  No tears?  thats physical not emotional, so disturbing to use women to tear into someone when what they need is

sense, smarts and what a man is suppose to be to his wife?

The emotional environment of the household/home is from both parents!

both of them ahs contributed to the emotional turmoil and obviously thier children has followed suit to what they learned?

Thier sons: do not let your Mother influence your choices in women, how you treat them or what kind of husband and father you will be?  Break that chain of distructive behavior please?

The only daughter: let the negative be growing where it was planted?  Do you need to add to it?

Let your life be above the turmoil and a better example to your own children and brothers?

He was 'Dad' except when you complained about his role as husband to your Mom, then he was step-father?  You showed you need to get real also?
