11/01 Teacher Sex Scandal, Pt. 1

Quote From: pm2kar

You ain't seen nothing yet. Spend some time in South Dakota. You won't believe how they sensationalize sex offender cases up here. I've not heard names and addresses given out routinely over the radio every day....yet....but if some honcho reads about Texas doing it, I guarrantee they'll push for doing the same thing here. This Republican conservative majority state is laughable at the ways they try to invent to interfere in other people's lives.

I feel terrible for what's happened to this woman. When this is all said and done, should not only finish her lawsuit againist that biased school district. she should also go after each and every one of those little liar's families and sue them 'till hell wouldn't have it. Then, take her winnings and leave that redneck town forever. And, oh yes. Make the school district AND those liar's families take out full page apologies and retractions in every newspaper in the state for what they put her though and ADMIT their viscious lies.

To me, that would be a great start.

I love your idea -- that would REALLY be a great start!!!

11/01 Teacher Sex Scandal, Pt. 1

Quote From: ceildh1

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a couple of things stuck out for me,

1) This was a small town, and one thing I KNOW about small towns especially if Daddy is the Mayor, ex mayor or a prominent figure, the people will belive you or at least make on like they do because the normal person has a preconceived notion that your family is infallible, or that you have no way of fighting them anyway.

2)One Polygraph says he's being truthful one says he's lying (the very reason they aren't used in the courts ).

3)Mommy standing right there beside him, he's not about to recant his story.

4)The whole "I'm a Christian, I wouldn't do that ", give me a freakin break.

Sounded more to me that she wouldn't give them a break on their French mark or something, and as for her lack of emotion that the Doc pointed out, NO ONE KNOWS how they will react to ANY given situation until they are placed in it, that INCLUDES the Doc HIMSELF, if she had of been teary eyed and bawling hysterically, many would be saying she was playing it up for the cameras, so no matter how much or little she showed she couldn't win.

I'm going more toward her, but I'm going to see what happens tommorrow.

Regarding the comment about the lie detector test he passed.  HOGWASH - if your parent was Mayor of the town you would undoubtedly have a 'passed' test no matter how bad you failed.  I find no credence in that passed test what-so-ever.

AND YES - I was a tad disappointed in Dr. Phil's remark about her non-emotional attitude, too.  BUT  -  I love ya, Dr. Phil and since Ibelieve you do and say everything for a reason I'm going to let you slide on this one!!

Duke University was also torn apart when a far too willing District Attorney pursued charges on less than credible evidence.  The justice system is far from perfect, especially when small town gossip meets small town poltics.

But even at the national level the results of false allegations are just as disasterous.  Or as former Secretary of Labor Ray  Donovan asked after being  acquitted of fraud and larceny charges,  "Which office do I go toto get my reputation back?

YES - and when a case is dropped it means there isn't one!

11/01 Teacher Sex Scandal, Pt. 1

Quote From: zazupitt

As per Barbara Bush... A man may forget a lot of things but never his first (or last) blow job...

That kid is lying thru his teeth.  he stated that he was either 14 or 15 when it happened... hummm men NEVER forget the first time they have had sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly what I thought!!

01/14 "At War with My Teen"

Quote From: psepeda

I always record the show and watch it after work but 10 minutes into the recording today it shut off.  Is there a way to watch it online, or is my only options to read about it.  Thanks for your help.
Depending on what state you live in you may have anoher chance to see it. Here in Michigan, all the 7 pm shows are shown the following week at 3 pm during the day.  Also - I'm sure you can catch it when they shows reruns during the shows hiatus.  One more sugestion - if you have the option of getting a DVR (from your cable company) it''s the only way to go.  It's not too pricey and you can tape 27 shows before having to worry about running out of tape.  Good luck.

01/14 "At War with My Teen"

I don't see where you think you got the right to judge him. I've known mike for quite a few years now, and know for a fact that he isn't trying to "play" anyone. Yes, he has a temper, yes, he was out of line. But please don't think that he just tried to play everyone. You act like you know him and his life, but the truth is you have never met his mother. nothing gives you the right to judge him
I agree with you sailorgirl. This young mans behavior is the only behavior he has learned in the home.  Can you enlighten us as to what has become of Michael's biological father?  Nothing was said, on the show,  which surprised me - usually that's Dr. Phil's first angle.  Most of the viewers are assuming there was a divorce.  I'm more inclined to think the bio father may have passed, since he wasn't mentioned at all.  Also - what state are you in?  In conclusion - stay a good friend to Michael - he needs you.  I'm hoping for the best.

02/06 Pill Popping Twins

Quote From: ssmith2526

Wow, glad you're perfect.  Makes it easier to pass judgment on everyone else.  Kudos!
I agree with you 100%, nixi333.  Taking pills for everything IS the easy lazy way out.   There are many other options if people would only take the time to seek them out.
