It irritates ME to no end that people use the race card to the death.  There is so much reverse discrimination in this country that of course the race issue will never be resolved.  It hurts me to my heart because I see such anger and hatred for white people because of the horrific mistakes our ancestors made.  I am so so sorry about that but please stop teaching your children to hate us. 

You also mentioned how many Christian churches there are in Georgia to take care of the poor and elderly.  I agree with you on that issue 100%.  I do not think it is the responsibility of the government to care for its people, but the responsibility of each of us.  How can you, in good consience, vote for a man that is part of hate for ANY race? 

Good GRIEF.  NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME THAT OBAMA DOESN'T AGREE WITH HIS PASTOR JEREMIAH.  If MY pastor preached hate for African Americans or irish americans or ANY race, we would leave and find another church.  Come on Now.  He has chosen to listen to the hate filled rants of pastor Jeremiah for 20 years.

I am so freaked out.  I cannot believe that many black churches preach this hatred, but i have been assured its so from some of my black friends from the lowcountry of SC where I gew up.  It is appalling and ridiculous in this era and not to be excused or taken lightly, as it has been swept under the rug by the liberal chicken little syndrome suffering media.. 

If the opposite had occurred, the candidate would have been run out of town on a rail.  Jesus does not condone this behavior and neither should we, as a melting pot nation.  We should not tolerate hate for ANY race.  How can we ever, EVER expect to resolve this issue and love everyone?God help us all and I pray this country returns to God.   

(As numerous others on Oprah's message boards were, I was not offended by obama's remark about his 'typical white gmother'.  Too many people are offended by any and everything under the sun.  How can we be at peace with others if we are so angry and hypersensitive?)

What Does offend me , though, is that Obama is still in the campaign race.  How stupid are we?  How can we say we believe he doesn't agree with his pastor that he has not only likened to famiily, but has subjected his children and wife to for 20 years BY CHOICE?

A pastor that blatantly affirms his hatred for 'the man' -whites- and a god who is against the black community.  Sounds like he has paranoid schizophrenia to me. 

How can we, AS AMERICANS,OF IRISH, ENGLISH, AFRICAN, HISPANIC, ASIAN, ETC DESCENT ELECT A

LEADER for OUR country that CHOOSES to listen to hatred for ANY race/any one????????//

 

ANy wrongdoing/sin BEGINS in the mind, so if you feed your mind hate and trash, that is what will be manifested in your actions.  I am soooo afraid for this nation!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

 

i GUESS HAVING THOUSANDS OF RESTARAUNTS WITH VARYING CUISINE FROM AROUND THE WORLD IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

 

Or could it be that when we wreck our car that emergency services show up to provide services to help all, and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

 

Perhas you are one of the 70% of americans who own a home.  You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of  a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames, thus saving you, your family, and your belongings. 

 

Or if, at home watching any of your flat screen tv's, a burglar or prowler intrudces, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

 

This all in the neigborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents.  Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers. 

 

How about the complete religious, social, and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of the world?

 

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

 

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen.  No wonder the world loves the US, yet has a great disdain for its citizens  They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.  We could still live in Europe, Africa, or China etc.

 

i know.  I know.  What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out?  The president who has a measley 31% approval Rating?  Is this the same president who guided the nation during the dark hours after 9/11?  The president who cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession?  Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all of the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? 

 

The commander in chief of an all volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?  Did you hear how bad the president is on the news or talk show?  dID THIS NEWS AFFECT YOU SO MUCH, make you so unhappy that you couldn't take a look around you and see all the good things and be glad? 

 

Think about it............... are you upset at the president because he actually caused you personal pain or is it because the 'media' toled you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.

 

Make no mistake about it.  The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases have died for your freedom.  there is currently no draft in this country.  They didn't have to go.

 

They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a 'general' discharge, an 'other than honorable' discharge', or , worst case scenario, a 'dishonorable' discharge after a few days in the brig.

 

 

So why the flat out discontent in the minds of 69% of Americans?  Say what you want, but I blame it on the media.  If it bleeds, it leads, and they specialize in bad news.  Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts.  How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner?  The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations.  They orffer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions in one way or another.  Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson write a book about 'how he didn't kill his wife but if he did he would have done it this way;?    INSANE!!!!!!!!

 

Stop buying the negativism you are fed every day by the media.  Shut off the tv, burn newsweek, and use the NY times for the bottom of your birdcage.  Then start being grateful for all we have as a country.  There is exponenetially more good than bad. 

 

We are among the most blessed people on earth, and should thank God several times a day , or at least be thankful and appreciative. 

 

With hurricanes, tornadoes, fires out of control, mud slides, floods, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance"?

Yes,, he reminds me of the kennedys too.  And he will bring change he says........but is it the kind we want???? hE PARTICIPATES IN A CHURCH THAT HATES WHITES.  iF IT WERE REVERSED HE WOULD BE PROMPTLY DISMISSED  I would love to see a black president, but definitely not one who hates ANY race.... how frightening for our melting pot nation!  .

you r so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!  the liberal media machine has kept so many from the truth.   The media and most of the hollywood ignoramuses love obama SIMPLY BECAUSE HE CAN SPEAK WELL AND CHarm the pants off of someone, which spells evil and danger to me.  Last night Mccain's  speech made me cry my contacts out!  no, really. 

I have not witnessed the patriotism I saw this week in my whole life.  I am 40, and was raised by 2 depression era, korean war , American flag waving veterans and I am so relieved to be able to trust confidently Mccain and Palin. 

 For the first time we are WInning the Irag war.  I agree with Mccain that war is horrible and he hates it, but  necessary in this evil world to defend the country that we love.  The media will not report on any good news from the war either, like how the surge OF TROOPS VOTED ON BY MCCAIN and DENIED BY BOTE BY OBAMA has FINALLY HELPED US TO GET AHEAD IN THIS WAR. 

i HATE WAR TOO, AS DO ANY THINKING PERSON.  Don't egotistically think you know more about what is really going on with the government than they do......... So many liberal tree huggers think that .

My father worked in secret service and believe me, the military knows what they r doing!  There r often things we don't know about.  The weapons of mass destruction- do u realy naively believe they don't have access to them?  What about the humanitarian side of our country that saved so many countless iraq citizens from hussein?  Which was a true dictator and i believe barack hussein obama will do the same.... he will make this country a socialist, marxist country......... i pray every day, many times a day, for our country to turn back to Him before it is too late.  .  With God, all things are possible, even winning this war and seeing the defeat of the charmer obama............

I agree!  lets take back our country from the liberal tree hugging  ;i love polar bears more than my country' environmentalists.  I love the environment, and believe we have a responsibility to it, but i also believe what God says in his word, the bible, that we are to rule over all the animals ......... America IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN POLAR BEARS ( who by the way, r not on endangered species list anymore)  the earth and its animals are so detailed and unique and awe- inspiring............ which brings to mind.  how do many convince themselves of evoulution and big bang theory when science PROVES THERE HAD TO BE A CREATOR................. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY our schools still teach evolution when it has been scientifically proven not to be true./?????????????
