It seemed to me that, from the start, Dr. Phil's intent was to nail this teacher
to the wall. Yes, he presented both sides....to a degree. He seemingly
disagreed with the teacher's reactions to the charges, asserting more than
once that a person accused of such actions surely would be more emotional
about it. On the first day, when the boy failed the lie detector test, he made
very little out of it. On the second day, when the second boy failed the same
test, he did not mention it until very near the end of the program...and even
then continued on as if it really mattered little to anyone...even though he had
built up the test and the examiner to a very high degree. This, after asserting
several times that the boy had many details of activities supposedly only known
by actual victims of abuse....although it was readily apparent that the second
boys story was very cut and dry and seemed rehearsed from the start.
