Dear Jill,

  I am also starting out this year to lose weight and get healthy. I need to lose between 55 and 65 pounds. I  also sneak candy sometimes and have never been able to stick to a plan or a diet or exercise program. I even paid for a personal trainor once a week for about 4-6 months. It ended up being a waste of money because i would either cancel my appointment (even though i had to pay for it anyway) or i wouldn't work out any other time during the week. It was like going to school and getting an 'F' because i didn't complete my work. I will check in on your progress often. I have never been on the message boards before and am not sure how it works, but i hope to keep in touch with you and be encouraged myself.

Happy Friday Jill

Dear Jill,

  maybe i have figured out how to use the message boards. most of it seems beyond me, but we will see. I just wanted to encourage you to take another step forward on your new plan. i believe there is truth in the

'one day at a time' thought process. When Dr. Phil said you were just overwhelmed and didn't in your heart think you could do it, i believe that is true for many of us. I struggle with my thought process constantly of having the 'can do ' attitude versus the 'no way can i ever do that attitude. so, for today, i am going to have a can do attitude.  Having long term goals, and reaching them by having short term goals frequently has got to be part of the success formula. I encourage you and i both to take just one more step today to reach our long term goals by successfully reaching our one day short term goal for today.

Hello Jill

 just wanted to encourage you to continue to hang in there and to reach your daily goals. I did indeed my goal for yesterday and today. one small step for me, wtih great results at the end of one year if i go one day at a time. i think you are very brave going on tv and basically drawing a line in the sand with yourself.

Still Keeping on

Dear jill,

  You really did inspire me to get started getting healthy. So, i am continuing my one day at a time. i have successfully done exercise of some sort every day that i had planned to. I really am excited about it being different this time. One foot in front of the other......I am rooting for you!

Dear Jill,

  If you have a chance to start posting yourself to let us know how you are doing, that would be awesome. i hope you are being successful at getting started. I have been exercising for almost 1 week. on a regular basis. yeah for me. of course, no  weight loss, but i am praying and hoping for that to happen. Please let us know. I am having to ake my 'seal of success' as my activity not my result right now. thanks for going on the show and being an inspriation.

still keeping my resolution

dear Jill,

 i hope you are being successful at all you are doing in changing your life. I am still continuing with my

resolution despite the fact that  have had ZERO weight loss. I have pretty much kept up my schedule of elliptical every other day and 'the firm' every other day. i am now able to get through about 40% of the firm.

i looking for successful weight loss and look forward to feeling better. i hope you are also.

no kidding, still keeping my resolution

dear jill,

 I hope you are gettting your life in order. I am watching the dr phil show you were on and i would like to know how you are doing. i am still keeping my resolution. i have been exercising fatithfully. TWICE I have missed my days but i did double exercise the next day so that the same amount of calories were burned per week. I am watching what i am eating, but, after 2.5 weeks now or maybe three, i have not lost one pound. that is disappointing. i am reminding myself daily that it is the activity and commitment, not the results. i am praying that any day now, my weight will start to move. i can do about 65% of my'the firm' work out now. i DO feel better when i exercise.
