10/09 The Dr. Phil House: A Family's Last Chance, Part 4

Quote From: letfrancis

I am shocked at what I have seen by both adults!  Don't they understand that it is no longer about them but it is about the three boys!  I think this women needs a serious dose of reality!  She sleeps around not once but twice and then goes on national television to announce it not only to her husband but to the boys and the rest of the world.  She is a selfish woman and if she was here in front of me I would like to show her exactly how she portrays herself.  She loves being the center of attention but can't step up to the plate and take roll that she needs to for the sake of those boys!  And if he is such a big orange slob then maybe she should stop sleeping around and spend some time with him by taking a stroll so that he has no excuse for being as she says a big fat orange slob!

Just one womans opinioun!

Just who on earth does Jessica think she is, calling Todd a "big fat orange slob?" I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when she did that! I probably would've blown it all over the den! With her own belly poking out. She's no "skinny minnie" herself. At least Todd lost 20 lbs before he returned for a follow-up with Dr Phil.

Krystal needs brain surgey...

Worse than she needs plastic surgery. Why does she want breast augmentation anyway? She isn't flat chested. In fact, her breasts already look pretty big. About my size. A C or D cup. Why make them any bigger? And, have trouble finding clothes, especially swimsuit tops, that fit?

IMO, if she gets inplants, it'll be obvious. I can always tell, by looking at women in bikinis and other skimpy, low-cut clothing, who's got implants and who doesn't. "Implanted" breasts are always too firm and rounded. Kystal's sister made that same complaint about her own implants. Her breasts were too round. And, looked fake. Well, duh. They are fake.

There are other problems with breast implants. "Boob" jobs don't last. They usually have to be redone every five to ten years. And, that's if there are no other complications. Such as Dr Phil's last guest exerienced. Wanted a "model perfect" figure. Had her A cuppers augmented. And, four very painful sugeries later, is right to an A cup.

This guest, a plastic surgeon, and Dr Phil himself all tried to reason with Krystal. The surgeon himself would never operate on her. Said she isn't a good enough candidate. And, she left the show still determined to get her "boob" job. I doubt I've ever seen Dr Phil with a more hard-headed guest.

Krystal thinks just this one plastic surgery will give her a good self image. But, it won't. And, she'll probably be looking to her next plastic surgery for that. And, her next. And,...Such an attitude could turn her into a plastic surgery "junkie". I saw one on Dr Phil's show a few years ago. Thousands of dollars in debt from, and hideously difigured by, more than a dozen plastic surgeries. And, still wanting more.

Hello

I am Bris Mom Diana

So you sat in the audiance huh??

Did you listen at all when i was up on stage?? I NEVER said I WANTED BRI to have surgery !!!

What I said was BRi wants surgery and as a mom who LOVES her child VERY much I want to help her to feel better about HERSELF for HER NOT FOR ME I LOVE HER NO MATTER WHAT!

I wasn't in the audience. I watched the show this morning. These shows are so highly edited, to fit in between all those irritating commercials, that I was left with the impression that you wanted Bri to have the surgery. I'm glad that wasn't the case. And that you're both making the lifestyle changes Dr Phil recommended. I saw in another of your posts that Bri's lost 15 lbs. In only a month. That's awesome! Long life and good health to you both!

10/19 Teacher Caught in the Act

Quote From: jettav

Too pretty to go to jail??????????????????get over it!!!!!!! you do the crime, you molest, rape, prey upon a child, you belong behind bars!!!!!!!!!! I don't care who you are and whAt you look like, goes to show that looks  can be deceiving, this attorney needs to get real or get out of the business.
If you aren't "too pretty" to do the crime, you aren't "too pretty" to do the time. 24-year-old Janelle "lost" her virginity to a 15-year-old? Even if she really was a virgin, it was still statutory rape. She belongs with all the other sexual predators.

These people need to get real. "My boobs don't look natural. They're too far apart, etc." Oh baloney.I am a 6 1/2 year survivor of breast cancer. I had a modified radical mastectomy with lymph node removal 5/29/2000. I went with 3 months of chemo, missed one day of work. In 2001 I checked into a reconstruction of my breast because it was throwing my balance off and the prosthesis wasn't a good option. So, it was a year long commitment. I had a tram flap, which means the surgeon took my belly skin off, made me a new breast and then filled it with the fat from my abdomen. OK, so I had a boob job and a tummy tuck. It cost more than a new car. But, it fixed what was gone. Otherwise, I pretty well am satisifed with nature gave me. I have lumps and bumps and my breasts aren't perfect, but I have two and I DON'T have cancer!  My clothes don't dip down on one side and I don't walk funny....so what's the problem. Beauty comes from within.
I've got nothing against reconstructive breast surgery. I'm glad it can now be done with all natural ingredients, your own body fat! There's a big difference between using that and putting a foreign substance into your breast. Many "boob jobs" go bad when a woman's body rejects the silicone.

10/19 Teacher Caught in the Act

It took Janelle 24 years to lose her virginity? To a 15-year-old boy? Why couldn't she find someone her own age? And, her lawyer thinks she's "too pretty" for jail? If she's that damn pretty, men her age should've been waiting in line.

The lawyer that said the perp was too pretty for jail was Deb LaFlave's lawyer NOT Janelle's.
Thanks, Raggtop. I had yet to watch the show when i posted that. I thought, from last week's show schedule I received in an email, that Thursday's episode would be all about Janelle. I taped it and have yet to watch it all. Just the first part, about Janelle. I'll watch the rest later. Still, IMO, there's no such thing as "too pretty for jail" when a crime has been committed. Especially one of that magnitude.

10/19 Teacher Caught in the Act

Quote From: purplepenny

I was going to defend men in saying not all of them care only about looks, but I guess probably 95% of them do...
As Raggtop pointed out, it was another teacher, Deb LeFavre, who's lawyer deemed "too pretty" for jail. I thought, from my weeklyshow topic email, that Janelle would be Dr Phil's only guest. And, sofar, I only seen the first part of last Thursday' show, with her. WhenI've got time, I'll see what Deb LeFavre looks like. I'll bet she isn't that pretty, either. Anyway, there's no such thing as "too pretty for jail" after committing a crime of this magnitude.

10/19 Teacher Caught in the Act

Quote From: vasharps

I am a parent who is afraid to send my children (male and female) to school because they might be raped by someone working there.  I don't care what the "emotional age", "social experience" or "mental state" of the person doing the raping.  I only care about my children.  I think every child has the right to be protected from this kind of thing AT SCHOOL.  If this opinion constitutes a witch hunt in anyone's mind, they should ask themselves a few questions.  Who is going to have to deal with the emotional and physical fall out after the school employee is done with the child???  What happens if a baby is the result of the rape???  How does a parent explain to their  child that sex is a good thing between adults in a loving relationship, not something dirty and hidden because one of the participants knows fully well that it is wrong???  Yeah, call me a "witch hunter" for not wanting my children raped at school.

I thought all those comments Janelle's lawyer made about her"emotional age" and "social experience" were a damn crock. Janelle wasa still a virgin at 24 because of her belief system. She was raised "ina Christian home" to believe in saving her virginity for marriage.Janelle even stated that she didn't believe in premarital sex. Why shenot only went against her beliefs, but committed statutory raped, isbeyond me. But, "emotional age" doesn't explain it. Not when she wasable to earn a teacher's degree and license.

10/19 Teacher Caught in the Act

Quote From: jojobeaner

Evangelical witch-hunts, this is not what this is about.  This is not about being righteous or religious.  This is about admitting a wrong you have done. This teacher knew right from wrong, but did it anyway, she even stated that in her interview.  It was small blurp of an admission, but it was there.

This wrong that she did has consequences.  It just goes to show you that having sex before marriage is not good, but having it with someone who is obviously underage is absolutely not good.  Having sex is like supergluing yourself to another person and each time you do this and part from the other person a piece of your soul goes with them.  If she was so in love with him why didn't she put his needs above her own.  True love waits, this was not love it was pure lust, that's what it was.

We are not talking about an unreal age here, you are right.  Emotionally they are probably the same age, but so what.  By the law's standards it is pedophilia and she already knew that, she knew the law just as everyone knows the law. She's an educated person she knows the law, heck people who don't have an education know that having sex with someone under the age of 18 is against the law if you yourself are older than 18.  It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out.  She broke the law and she should just admit it and pay the consequences.  Maybe then she will think twice about going with her feelings before she decides to break any other laws.

Let's not forget that Janelle was, by her own admission,  raised in a "Christian" home and taught to save herself for marriage. If she's only 15, emotionally, so what? That's still old enough to know better. Especially when she'd been taught, all her life, that any sex outside of marriage is wrong.
