Here, here!
Quote From: viper1967 While I do not agree with a 16, or 18 year old girl moving across the world to be with a man she barely know. I have to say that Dr. Phil seriously disappointed me on his show due to the fact that he seemed to be painting all middle eastern men with the same brush. NOT all middle eastern or arabic men beat their wives, they don't all kidnap their families and they are NOT all lunatics. I thought that during the show the men from the middle east were all portrayed the same way. Not once did I hear Dr. Phil throw in something like "now don't misunderstand, we are not saying that all middle eastern men are like this". I have been with a lebanese man for a long time now. He is wonderful, and treats me always as a princess. He has a business partner who came to Canada from Lebanon and married a Canadian woman. The return home to Lebanon every year for vacation with their young son, and every year they come home happy and safe. Lets not get carried away and start to fall into the "media trap" of painting all arabic peoples and nations with the same brush. Thanks for speaking up. It was shocking to see Palestine and Iran of over thirty years ago compared. Different regions, different religions (Palestinians are Sunni, Iranians are Shiite), and certainly different cultures and times.
