C.A.S.A. Thank you

My name is Daniela and I have bin a C.A.S.A. for 4 1/2 years. I am so proud to be a part of such awesome organization.  Child abuse is something people don’t want to hear about because abuse is dirty. These children are in the system because the person who supposes to protect them from harm was hurting them the most. Thank you Dr. Phil for speaking out and bring attention to the public. We are in desperate need of advocates and we need to let the public know that it is wrong to hurt this little precious children where God trust us to keep save. God bless you and your family. Keep up the work for C.A.S.A. and you will be blessed in more ways then you can imagine. I know I am.

Child Advocate. Daniela McKenzie

I  have a friend who was recently in a custody battle in which a CASA volunteer was involved.  As my friend had nothing to hide and was willing  to have the CASA volunteer in her home, she had no complaints about the experience.  I am a little confused though, because on the show it was mentioned that CASA only receives money through donations.  My friend, however, was required to pay a $100 fee to the CASA volunteer.  The man involved in the custody battle was also required to pay $100 to the volunteer.  This was not a "donation" from either party, as the CASA volunteers participation and payment was ordered by the court.
I am a CASA . We do not get paid for any of our work and I would report the volunteer to a supervicer or to the judge ASAP if I know of that. Please do so
