Driving stick ;-)

Quote From: mommapry

OK, I chose to get in my car (same as all these men chose to have sex) then something I did not chose happens, I hit another car.  I am responsible for paying for the damages to the other party.  There is no difference.  It was an accident, but since I was involved, I have to pay.  Please do not think I am calling a baby an accident.  I am just making a point that things happen as a result of our choices that we may not want and we are still responsible.
Apt analogy.

trick question

Quote From: fujiwara

I am limited by how much I can say at a time being on a cell phone so forgive me. Anyway, a woman can say oh I don't like condoms or I'm allergic. Then what do we do. Not have sex? RIGHT! You must realize it isn't possible for some.
Ah, was this a trick question? You cannot be serious. Of course you don't have sex.  It is the same as a woman saying, "no." Does your inability to abstain from sex apply here as well? That would be rape by the way. I would laugh it this wasn't so sad. How about this scenario? She was allergic to condoms, and I couldn't say no. That sounds like a pretty interesting epitaph.

10/22 Forced to Be a Father

Quote From: minitrinity

I think that if a woman intends to commit fraud and entrap a man for child support payments by lying to him about birthcontrol and then having the baby, the man should not have to pay. But proving that a woman had intention to fraud and then committed it is near impossible.

Entrap a man for child support. That is pretty laughable. Ruin your body, get fat, sick, give up your freedom, and risk your life for some paltry cash. Yeah, get right on that. I can't get pregnant... cheque's in the mail. I am on the pill...cheque's in the mail. I'm allergic to condoms... cheque's in the mail. Get it? Take responsibility for your own birth control. You cannot entrap someone into sex they do it of their own free will. How would you prove that someone intended to commit a fraud (baby)?  The new Trojan hidden camera? If you don't want a baby don't have sex because it is always a possibility.

Going backward...

Quote From: kschapman

i, as a woman, feel if a woman has the right to choose if a child is born, than a man should have the right too.  most women get pregnant on purpose, and should not be able to trap a amn.  he has a right to choose, just as a women does.
Imagine, a woman being held down against her will while her baby is aborted because the father didn't want it. Doesn't happen you say? Then explain why over 10 million women are missing from the Indian sub continent. Women have the right to decide because it is our body. We take all the risks. Men are very angry they can no longer control women. I mean 'men' in general. I know there are lots of decent modern men out there. I was born of one, married one, and am raising one. I am raising my son to understand that women are not just vessels for his pleasure, that having a sexual relationship involves responsibilities to the future.

Take responsibility.

Quote From: fujiwara

I'm sorry. Who's assuming the male is the only sexual predator? My brother's girlfriend is an example. She wants sex all the time, she refuses a condom, but she said she wouldn't get pregnant. She is now.
She wouldn't get pregnant... cheque's in the mail. Give me a break. Who said anything about predators? Two people refusing to use condoms are dumb and dumber. There is no predation involved. If your brother doesn't know how to use a condom get him a banana to practice on, and tell him to stop whining about being preyed upon. If she offered him purple kool-aid would he take it because he's thirsty? You can look that reference up because I suspect you are a child.

10/22 Forced to Be a Father

Quote From: minitrinity

I know a woman who did not get fat, had easy pregnancies, doesn't work, has 3 children with 3 different fathers, gets child support from the 3 fathers, she gets her nails done weekly, drives a new car and admitted that she lied to 2 of the fathers about the pill. I know I don't want to have a baby so I use birth control but I don't have sex because I'm out of shape. ;) I like the Trojan hidden camera idea!
So? I'm sure we can go on forever with individual cases or angels and devils. It gets us nowhere at warp speed. Did the fathers lie to themselves about the condom they weren't wearing? There is no such thing as an easy pregnancy just degrees of discomfort and risk.

Why is getting her nails done a big deal, are her children starving? I get my nails done too... well I used to. I'm on a break. If she has fake nails they only need to be filled every 2 weeks, it cost about 15 bucks. If she gets them polished every week it's about 5. Do you begrudge the woman a bit of pleasure or time to herself because she's a mother?

The whole point is if you have sex there is always the chance you will create a baby. Be responsible for your own birth control, and don't blame someone else.( I don't mean you you I mean you in general).

Stop? Free speach? 1939 Germany...

Quote From: tiramasu

Oh stop ... too much drama.  We are speaking about America, not India.  The men here are decent.  Just remember, women and MEN have rights.  Women's rights do not supercede.  Men have a right to have the choice to have or not have a child.  This child is 50/50 father and mother.
It's not drama, it's the truth whether you want to open your eyes or not. Look at a history book, look at the news. You have your head in the sand. Have you ever heard of a global village, or humanity?  Men have no rights over a woman's body, and they do have a right not to be a father by keeping it in their pants or masturbating.

10/22 Forced to Be a Father

Quote From: jdfitzman

It is plainly obvoius that this is DIRECT discrimination against men.  A woman has three choices to opt out of parenthood. She can abort,  she can drop the child off at a hospital or she can put it up for adoption. SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO TAKE ON THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PARENTHOOD IF SHE DOESN'T WANT TO.

A man should have the SAME access to opting out of fatherhood !!!!  What is the reason that men don't have that option? WHY ??  It is DISCRIMINATORY.

When men risk their lives carrying a child and giving birth let me know.

10/22 Forced to Be a Father

Quote From: tiramasu

Well, without being too graphic, women need to keep their legs closed.
Women don't need to do anything but what they want to do. Last time I checked we were free... at least in the west.

10/22 Forced to Be a Father

Quote From: ginapep

Thank you  thank you!!!!!  Men clearly don't have the same rights to become a parent as a woman.  If a woman can leave a baby on a door step and walk away, why can't the man walk away.  I do agree with the men's advocate that says there should be a window of time.  If the man decides to NOT be a father during this "decision" period, he should be okay to do that.  I mean women have a "decision" window.  A woman can have an abortion within 3 months of conception if she chooses, can't he have the same 3 months that she has?
What bed did the child make? Isn't it amazing how it always comes down to money. Men make their decisions at the bed room door, and if they aren't mature enough to understand the reasons why we need them out of the gene pool.
